we're not allowed out between the hours of 7pm and 6am, but we are permitted to use the internet. so, you'll find we're on a lot of forums. but not porsche ones as we don't really have much time for germans or cars with engines in the wrong place.

I was just using it as an example, I wasn't looking for everyone's validation of my car tastes (and like I said, I'm no longer much into Porsches).

I used the example of Porsche car forums to illustrate my point that other hobbyist websites don't have as much UK participation. Apparently, that point got lost in the red mist of "I hate Porsches" comments that followed.

OP: I don't know the answer to your question. I like that there are english speaking people from all over the world on MR, and not just because english is my native language.
I understand you're asking purely out of curiosity, and the closest thing to an answer I can think of is the fact that this is a nice site for Apple owners (and those considering). Personally, if I had to pay VAT, I would research the hell out of anything expensive prior to buying, and this is a great place for such.
I'm glad it's the world wide web, and not limited to any one (or few) nations. I've traveled to other nations quite a bit in my time, and have found that wherever I go, people are pretty much the same.
