I just spoke with Apple chat support, and the specialist said that Apple Watch orders (aka shipping times) will be updated any day now (and likely tomorrow). Just in case you all weren't already checking your orders status multiple times a day :)

Eh, I don't know if I'd trust him. Reps usually claim they don't have info about this sort of stuff. I mean, it's entirely possible he's correct, but I'd take this with a grain of salt.

I hope you are right. Because I'm getting really excited. You better be right lol

Not going to happen. Way too soon. Unless, of course, there is going to be a delay. Then Apple would probably want you to know that right away.

It's possible if everything is in order. I mean there's usually only 1 week between preorder and launch day. This time there's two weeks. It is early but if they have everything in order, we could see it maybe by Sunday this week.

Hmmmmmm (it's been my word of the night with all of these updates), we shall see if anything becomes of this. I would guess Friday, exactly one week before I get mine in the mail...

Reps make stuff up 50% of the time I think.

Then, out of the 50% of the make believe, 50% of that ends up being more or less accurate.

So......

The rep is clearly just making an assumption which any of us here are able to do on our own.

Wishful thinking. This forum is going to be an all out riot for people (Like me) who are in the 4/24 shipping wave but don't get it on 4/24.

Maybe possible for staging and the first wave and being dispatched over the weekend. I don't see it happening, but you never know.

Why are people constantly harassing the support people? You placed an order and Apple gave you a delivery range that will begin 4/24 at the earliest. What more information do you possibly need?!?!

I don't trust a word those chat reps say. For all we know, Siri is the one answering the chat questions.

If Siri was answering chat questions she wouldn't tell me "We won't be selling sport bands in any color other then white and black."
When that was said to me my hand got driven through my face.

Unfortunately Apple associates know very little about the WATCH when it comes to shipping times. Most likely Apple isn't sure if production will ramp up in time to meet demand that's why.
Be patient and wait and see.

Important Shipping Facts...

Here are some important shipping facts...

Standard shipping for both UPS and FedEx from China to US is 5 days. They both have quicker services that has been seen in iPhone shipments - but it is not overly common. Customs clearance is automatic and does not cause a delay. Once the package hits the hub in Memphis or Louisville, it takes one day to get to any domestic address in the 48. It can be same day if plane arrives in the early wee hours of the morning. With iPhones, one carrier is primary and the other carrier handles overflow. (Last iPhone, UPS was primary and FedEx handled a minority of deliveries).

Tracking numbers are often issued 2 days prior to the shipment. Sometimes Apple gives it to you then and sometimes they wait until package is already on its way. Example: my iPhone 6 was delivered Oct 24 and I received tracking from Apple on Oct 15. I was in the 2nd wave of orders. I believe most of the 1st wave of orders received tracking numbers only a couple days before delivery.

Once the package is in transit, you can have the carrier hold for pickup at your local hub rather than deliver it. I do that because I can pick it up at 8 am instead of have it delivered around 4 or 5. Yes, a few hours matters.:D

It is my educated guess that a lot of initial shipments will start leaving tomorrow (Thursday) through Monday for a 24th delivery. The biggest challenge for the carriers is not the actual delivery, but getting the large quantity of containers on planes to the U.S. Once they are in the U.S., it's just business as usual for the carriers.
