Will Apple Watch Orders Be Updated Soon?

also China is ahead about half day so they're probably working around the clock just to ship by Monday or something (our sunday?)

Yes.. I agree. It does say "any day now", but nothing about "very likely tomorrow". It could mean any day next week.

As someone who has been through this first adopter, first preorder of Apple products for years, I can pretty much assure you that order status will not change until early next week -- most likely Tuesday or Wednesday.
^this. And some people won't get tracking info until the day of delivery...Some will actually get the watch (next Friday) before they get their tracking.
Don't trust any of these reps you speak to. Most of them do not work for Apple and are hired by 3rd party contracting companies. I used to work for one of them. You are most likely speaking to someone working out of their own home in Preston, Idaho named Kip.
And this is all assuming we are getting delivery on the 24th. It's possible we don't get updates until May 5-6th.
It wouldn't surprise me if some orders due for launch day do go to preparing for shipment tomorrow.
I remember ordering the iPhone 6 as soon as it came available (well as soon as the app was up) and the order changing to preparing for shipment later that day with despatched on Wednesday before launch.

Well, for what it worth. I checked my status this morning, and my order said "processing". My window is 4/24 to 5/8.
All orders at this point should say "Processing"
What you are waiting for is "Preparing For Shipping" or something similar which should occur early next week.
Right. I pointed this out, because on Sunday, I called to change my CC on the order, and was told I could because it hadn't processed yet. And on Monday, I check it online to make sure everything was correct, and it said "preparing to process". My understanding it that Apple orders don't "flip" to processing unless, as you said, it's getting ready to ship.

It is about time to start shipping to arrive at your doors next Friday.. Some may say it's to soon we'll no it's not if coming from China which more then likely it is that have to take into consideration 1-2 days to clear customs.. So they will ship early with just instructions to fedex not to deliver before the 24th.
So did you really contact apple support to see when your watch which will be delivered 4/24 or after will truly be delivered? We still have 8 days. From previous experience, it only takes 3 days to get from China to your home.
Let me tell you what is going to happen. Sunday, all the watches will ship from China, you will have threads about fedex and ups planes. Then your watch will get to your local depot where it will sit for 2 days. Then your watch will be delivered on 4/24.

With the quantities that are being shipped, I'm sure that Apple's shipments will be pre-cleared through customs
How you interpreted what that chat rep said as possibly tomorrow is beyond me. It really sounds like, "we have no idea, but sometime between tomorrow and next friday...aka soon"
It took my Macbook 2 days to arrive from China. It literally went from Processing > Preparing for shipment > Dispatched on the Tuesday and was with my on Thursday.
Seriously. We won't see updates any time soon, not regarding the watches actually shipping.
What I am hopeful for is that the delivery estimates will get more exact.
