Just a heads up, the website for the movers coupon may not be working. My local post office was out of movers packets so I paid the $1 online but wasn't able to print any coupons out, kept giving me an error. Ended up going to another post office and got one.

Might be worth the dollar to check though. Could have just been a site error at the time.

just buy the movers coupon from ebay for 3 bucks....then go to the store and use both the education discount and movers coupon...if they refuse go make a post on best buy forums stating which store refused you, one of the mods will email the store and tell them to accept it and then go back to the store and they will

yep tried to get it online and it was erroring out. ended up finding a SG 256 (what I wanted) in store before I could swing by the post office and pick up the coupon. I'll pick up the coupon and give the return and rebuy a shot though

Understood, was only making the point that blanket statements by anyone (there have been several in here and the other BB MB thread) that anyone can just go to USPS and grab one and it'll work, is untrue. Like the two post offices I went to, many are expires, and exempt online purchases.

It may be in areas where people are a little behind in tech. I live in the tech capital of the world, SF... here NOBODY goes into the post office to change their address, this isn't 1965... people go to usps.com to do it. So it's likely they go through the packets a lot slower than middle america or places where they're less apt go go online, and more likely to stand inline to buy stamps or change their address.

I got mine from the post office in the town I live in, San Lorenzo. They gave me two sets of coupons so if you're interested, let me know so I can hand it to you or something. I work in the city, so meeting up shouldn't be an issue. :)

Don't really need em anymore... I had gotten mine from usps.com for the buck it costs to submit an address change (have a house I own and rent out that I just re-forwarded, doesn't hurt, gotta renew it every year anyhow). Click and print from home. :)

I was having mine shipped to the local apple store, due to arrive on 4/16. I picked up a base model space gray at BBY on 4/15 (just walked in and right back out). Was able to use the mover's coupon so I got it for cheaper than apple offered using my wife's EDU discount.

Walked into Best Buy today for something and was surprised to see a gold MacBook on display next to the 11" MacBook Air. There wasn't even a sign out for it.

It was my first time seeing it in person and I have to say, I was really impressed by the screen and the build quality. The metal hinge is great and the gold color is nice as well. I played around with it for a while and it was very fluid with no beach balls.

I figured, what the hell, let me see if there are any in stock and buy it and try it to see if it's something that might actually sway me to pay the price (which I see as being excessive at the moment). Well, the guy checked and said they had no stock at that store or anywhere in the district for that matter. I even asked if he'd sell me the display model (figuring I might get a discount), but nope. This was at the White Marsh, Maryland store. So if anyone is wondering from the Baltimore region, none of the Best Buys have any in stock to sell.

Surprisingly, I'm seriously considering buying one of these to replace my MacBook Air 13" and my iPad. I'd prefer not to order and wait for delivery knowing there are none in stock in stores because if I get one defective I want to have the option of walking into a store and exchanging. I'm fighting the more rational side of myself that knows the next generation of this machine will be priced more reasonably, add a second port, or include a more powerful processor . . . but once Best Buy, MicroCenter, or Apple has these in stock on a regular basis I might wait for a good sale or even for Apple's back to school sale in July and get one.

Oh, awesome! Btw, which model did you go with?

Went to my Best Buy in Portland and they didn't have any in stock. They of course don't know when they'll get any in store but if you order online the backorder is now 2-4 weeks for the Gold 512gb I want.

Did any of you guys hear that your BB stores are getting shipments this weekend/week? I'm trying to get my Macbook this weekend if possible.

Gold 1.2 ghz \ 512 gb.

Loving it! It's a travel computer, first trip with it tomorrow, so will put er through the ringer. Just wish I had my AV adaptor already. Really sucks going international and not being able to charge off the computer.

It's definitely a joy to use this amazing device! It's actually my replacement, personal computer. I had the 2008 Aluminum MacBook which had grown slower and slower as time had gone by so I figured it was definitely time for another computer. It had a good run, so I have no regrets with that purchase. Yes, it's the perfect travel computer, too! I'm sorry that your adapter hasn't arrived yet, though..

I'm in PA bordering DE. I went to Concord Pike store in DE and tried to checkout the rMB with the movers coupon but it wouldn't work. The system needed a manager to override it which they refused to do. I cancelled the sale.

Went online and ordered using the same coupon and went through fine. Having it delivered to a friend's place in DE and saving on the sales tax as well.

Was surprised as I had used the mover coupon from the same store 6 months ago for my wife's MBA without a second glance. The experience seems to be varied and changing all the time.

If you ask, they can check their internal system to see if they are getting any more stock in their next store shipment.

My local Best Buy receives stock every Tuesday and Thursday and yesterday (Thursday) I had them check and it shows they have 0 coming in with next Tuesday's truck.

I can live without it, just means I have to take my wall charger to charge my phone\ipad. Not the end of the world.

Well shoot, this would have been useful before I visited my BB store. Thanks for the info, I'll try again this weekend. Hopefully they get some shipments in.

Can you give some details on how they can check if they have any in stock, and if not, how they can check the shipping manifest for the next delivery? I called close to 10 stores today and only 1 had any, wasn't sure whether to believe the others or if they even knew how to accurately check their stock.

It was a system by the registers, actually it could have just been a register, I wasn't paying attention but it let them search which stores in the vicinity had it in stock. There were a few stores in my area that still have the silver base model but no grey/gold, and down by the bottom right there's a line that said something like 'Units Incoming: 0"

I asked specifically how far in advance that units incoming showed and was told it's usually just their next truck delivery.
