I'm assuming he was being sarcastic, wasn't that clear though. Either sarcastic, or just quite a dumass...

I personally hope to god they put as much importance on creating a black/dark theme as they are putting on creating the current white/light theme. As things currently are, on black devices, the white title bars blends in with the rest of the white user interface far too much.

There are already some darker elements to iOS 7 in certain apps like Safari in private mode, the movies section of the iTunes Store, and a few more. Now why can't Apple take what they did to those apps and do that system wide, and have a toggle in the system settings?

I'm thinking if we don't see a dark UI by the public release of iOS 7 that it will maybe come in a .1 update. Or knowing Apple we will have to wait till iOS 8...

I very much doubt they will.

My problem with a white theme is that having all those white pixels turned ON all the time will impact on battery life...

Actually, that is only true with OLED.

With LCD, the backlight is on, even if the pixel is black or white. And with LCD, "white" is the relaxed state of the pixels. Applying current blocks light. So, while unintuitive, the lower battery consumption happens when the screen is all white, not all black.

Calendar & Photos look sick :D
I also checked out if the app names can have white nd black color at the same time = if one half of ur wallpaper is black and the other white... but yeah, it stays w/ white (with shadow)

You can begin a sentence with a conjunction if another independent clause accompanies the first sentence. That makes it grammatically legal. :apple:

To the OP, I don't think so, sorry. I also wish for a black theme.

It is so sad that Apple has turning to a rainbow toy rather than going on with job's way.

IOS 7 is not looking like a luxury premium os, not it looks childish just like useless android.
Okay, well my question is.. Did any of these developers take the opportunity to ask Apple WHY the design looks like this?

I surely would've asked, "Why is it so colorful?"

Ios 7 may look pretty well on white iphone 5 ,but what about millions of iphone 5 black owners ?

The colourful theme does not suit to the black, I would like to see graphite, black white grey theme to prevent me from looking at a rainbow on my phone.

Nope.
