Anyone used an iPad2 Power Support Screen Protector on their New iPad 3?

I have been waiting for almost a month now for power support to release their supposed "New iPad Screen Protector" but its just keeps saying Coming Soon.

From what I see the screen portion of the iPad has not changed as far as I know .... does the iPad 2 crystal protector work and fit perfect?

I am tired of waiting for the the new one to arrive.

Thanks for the info.

It fits well but its lacking the extra hole for the sensor above the front camera. I have one on mine and it seems fine. Anti-glare might be a diff story.

I put mine on in about 30 secs. The trick is to just peel the backing down just enough to line up the home button, an inch or two. Then slowly peel it down, smoothing as you go. If you do get some lint under it use a piece of scotch tape to remove it. But if you clean your area around you you probably won't have any lint issues. Just wipe it down with a lint free microfiber cloth, move the cloth away from you, don't have and other linty things near. I just make sure the kitchen table is cleared off and go to it.

I've been using screen protectors since 2004 or so. The Power Support are by far the easiest I've ever used.

Exactly as said above (except I'm slower than 30sec!). Same experience here with Powersupport, I've applied several on iPhone and iPad, and even removed and reinstalled some. Take the time to meticulously clean before you start and work on a clean and dust free as possible table. The stiffness of the film helps you slowly ease it down from one end to the other as you slowly peel off the backing. DON'T peel off the backing entirely before applying, just pull it out slowly as the film goes down (does that make sense?). Pause if you get a dust speck, then Scotch tape is the trick if you get dust along the way, gently reach under the partially applied film with a length of scotch tape to snag the dust speck, then continue to ease down the film

I have the PS anti glare for iPad 2 on my iPad 3 and it fits perfectly. Once on, the smudge, dust and fingerprint resistance of the AG is worth it IMO, even though slightly 'fuzzier' than without - still looks better than my old iPad 1

p.s. if you don't like anti-glare, the PS crystal films go on just as easily, I've used some of those as well before.

also - I don't know if the "official" PS film for the new iPad has an extra cutout for ambient light sensor, but the iPad 2 version with only the two cutouts (home button, front camera) doesn't seem to affect operation and otherwise fits.

How much does this effect the sensor? I know they came out with a new one for the iPhone that had the sensor cut out when it didn't have it before.

I want to wait for this new one to come out but I really need something to start protecting my screen soon ... and this coming soon crap is taking WAY to long!

Power Support's Japanese webpage confirms that you can use the iPad 2 screen protector with the New iPad.

弊社製iPad 2用フィルムはすべてNew iPad 第3世代にも対応しております。 [03/16]

They have also started to advertise the iPad 2 screen protector as the "iPad 2/New iPad Screen Protector".

I got the crystal and it seems to be ok. I Haven't noticed any strange behavior or difference in operation since I put it on..

as far as I can tell, the ambient light sensor on my new iPad still seems to work with the PS antiglare film for the iPad 2 installed, even though the sensor doesn't have a cutout.

edit: I wonder if the "new" film they say is coming for iPad 3 has a new improved, finer antiglare surface to better show the new retina display??
not that I'm complaining about the image quality with the PS AG film (I like it mainly because of the dust/smudge resistance), I'm just wondering if there's another reason they say an iPad3 specific new film is on the way...

I am receiving my iPad 3 next Friday and would like some protection ready to go for it once it arrives.

I know the form fitting cases wont fit just right due to the new curvature on the back but is the screen and camera positioning just the same?

If so I would like to purchase a screen protector now before it arrives.

Thanks so much for the info.

I had the same troble, i got "Logiix Anti-Glare Screen Protector II for iPad 2" and on the box it saies it fits a new i pad but i was really disapoited because it mafles and distort the screen really bad, then i tryied Moshi iVisor AG iPad 2rd Generation Screen Protector" and on the box it seis it fits a new I pad so i bought it and i am much more happier, ofcause it still does not give the 100 % of clarity of a new I pad retenial display but the clarity is much more better then Logiix" so i would recommend this brend for now

p.s. as i understand Moshi "iVisor AG iPad 2rd Generation Screen Protector" and "iVisor AG iPad 3rd Generation Screen Protector" are identical...
