I'm still going to buy the watch no matter what. Probably the space black link. BUT all the reviews are out. It's basically a flop...not a single review recommended this as a buy.

I repeat, not a single buy recommendation. Will Jony get demoted? It sounded like the rumours where true. The project was just born out of his own interest in the watch and it wasn't a compelling product idea.

Wow. So it's a flop because the reviewers don't have a 'buy' recommendation?

Until it is actually for sale will anyone know if it is a flop.

And you think Jony Ive will be demoted? Again. Wow.

because reviews drives sales.

Ha. Funny stuff. Why should we listen to what they say? It's called an "opinion". The watch will sell millions.

It's a flop? Don't you think that's a bit premature? Did anyone see the usefulness in an iPad to start? Good lord, I want to punch you for your post.

You're still buying one despite the not-buy recommended for the review eh? Huh, funny how that works.

While no review has said its perfect (nothing is) they all agree the Apple Watch is the best, most capable Smart Watch you can buy right now.

This thing will fly off shelves.

And Jony Ive has done so much amazing work for Apple in the last 15 years, that one mistake (if it is a mistake, which it isn't) is not going to get him demoted.

It doesn't drive sales, it's a reflection of it actually feels to use one. No one wants it. Did you even read all the reviews?

How about we wait a few weeks after it goes on sale to see if "no one wants it". Or am I being too rationale for the Internet again? :)

People, stop using movie critics and technology pundits to determine what you think in life.

"APPLE IS DOOMED!"

Find one review of an iPhone that says, "Buy it." Only Consumer Reports does a buy recommendation. I've never seen a review that tells us to buy a MacBook Pro, etc. So that is not the standard.

That one Verge review, he complains that he is getting too many notifications while he is trying to have a conversation. But he is dishonest about how easy it is to control those settings.

He complains that he even got a text from his wife. If you don't want a text from your wife (a family emergency?) then you should turn off all notifications which is retard-easy to do. Yet he whines about it.

He says there's no granular control (oh he knows the fancy terms) but they immediately cut to a shot of settings that shows all of the granular controls.

There's a complex in the minds of so many tech writers that makes them fear seeming like an Apple fan boy so they have to invent ways to be critical.

People, stop worrying about what these bozos say, OK?

What reviews? Every review that I've seen says that the watch is the future and competitors don't even come close to Apple right now.

I don't agree with the OP in any way since the watch isn't even on sale yet. However, the reviews aren't quite as rosy as you make them sound.

Ahahah here's a person that LISTENED to the reviews and thinks they suggest no one buy it, and yet he's still buying one of the most expensive versions! If everyone that reads those reviews does what you do then Apple is going to be making lots of money.

its fair to say the watch is a little limp, no big USP and is bettered by most of its rivals who have been out for a while. But apple seem to always do this, in 18month people will be claiming apple invented the wearable...

apple need a big failure to get them that kick in the butt and focus them - id be more than happy if this was it and we start getting some improvements for iOS and OS X.

Like most computer hardware, the watches performance will be shaky to start with until the developers really get to grip with it. Then apps will start coming out to make the most of the hardware and apps will run a lot quicker and more efficiently than they do now.
I remember when the Commodore 64 came out. A lot of the software was clunky and sluggish to start with but two years later, amazing games came out that made the most of the machines potential.

No, they are sole opinions of the sole people who wrote those reviews, and I count less than 10 so far. Those reviews aren't the generic opinions of the general public because general public has not used the watch. The ONLY way to know of the general public wants or doesn't want a product is if they actually buy it or not or review it themselves. That's why things such as Meta-critic even exist. That's why polls and surveys are taken.

If you are the type of person that would let yourself succumb to the opinion of ONE person simply because they wrote a review & not based on your own experiences, you are the worst kind of person around.

If you think the Apple watch is miles ahead of the competition then you are either lying or have a serious disconnect with reality. Sorry just the truth.
