But I’d have thought they’d make it similar to Touch ID in that regard.

Actually, I think they did. Just because we had spots for 5 fingerprints doesn't mean Apple intended that to be for more than 1 user. I think the intention was that a single user could configure multiple fingers on multiple hands. So in that regard, it is the same. It's just that with FaceID you can't work around the system like you could before because you can only setup a single face.

But as you said, your wife can just use your pin. That's what my girlfriend would need to do as well.

Aye that’s true, guess I’ve just become used to “gaming” the system with Touch ID.
Not that it’s going to be the end of the world having the wife just use a pin, she’s generally not interested in the crap I have on my phone :D

I never wanted my girlfriends going through my phone either... doesn’t mean I was cheating, had a side chick was using tinder, etc... but I just valued my privacy... now that I’m married it’s different... my wife knows my password and can pick up and browse my phone whenever she wants.... but if I’m just dating you then there’s no need for that, you either trust me or you can hit the road.

I was also speaking from a married man’s point of view, just don’t hide anything.

But yeah, if just dating that might be different.
