Probably not, the current unibody design is I think only 30 months old? Compared with the aluminum which lasted ~70 months.

Besides whats wrong with the unibody design? It's the best on the market imo.

Do like those pancakes though.

Want a better resolution? Buy the 15"...

Do you even use the graphics card?

Its a freakin HDD, Apple doesnt make it...go buy one yourself if you dont like it.

It plays DVD/CD and writes to both...the MBP will never play Blu-Ray so get over yourself. I think this is something like the HDMI port, licensing cost too much for the computer to use either.

MDP supports HDMI out, go buy a MBP > HDMI adapter and be quiet about it. At least we dont have HDMI and have to try and get VGA out of it.

It still gets 7 hours of battery and yes they did change the testing. Go find another laptop that doesnt have a brick of a battery get anywhere close to that. I think they do damn good for being this thin and still getting that kind of battery life.

Thunderbolt may not be used for a while but at least Apple is building for the future...something you all whine about "Apple is so behind on there notebooks." So when Apple puts something new in you complain because its too new? Seriously.

The laptops are about as light as they will ever get Liquid Metal or not. The case is probably 20% of the whole computers weight to begin with.

Dont like AMD graphics? Go buy a 2010 model.

You want SSD-HDD hybrid storage? Well then the optibay is for you!

Dont want an optical bay? Refer to above.

Want full resolution? Go buy a 17", I have enough trouble reading text after waking up on my 15"...cant imagine how hard it is for the older folks.

No.

The only thing I see a redesign bringing is fewer features: No disc drive, no Ethernet, no Firewire. (Granted, I don't particularly care if they yank the Ethernet and Firewire ports, particularly if they add another Thunderbolt port or two.) They've already upgraded the Facetime camera to HD, so that's been fixed.

So basically it'll be a smudge thinner and a little bit lighter (things they can accomplish without a redesign). What design changes could they even make at this point? Carbon fiber body seems to be the only rumor out there right now. So the unibody would be closer in color to the new bar on the top of the Apple website, but otherwise exactly the same.

And really they'd just be setting up the fandom for disappointment. "It's exactly the same, just darker! Boo!"
