No there's an interesting reason why it has 3 cores something like they couldn't source the right silicon or they could never get the thermal signature right and ramp up the A8 speed fast enough without it getting so hot. Their solution was a 3rd Core which as history as a judge goes Under utilized if at all and fails against Dual Core CPUs at multi threaded tests. Nice in their to have but it's as much as I gather totally wasted.
