For the ones who downvoted my first post, apple didnt make the keyboard split in ios5 for no reason. Its for people who hold it in 2 hands and not on table ect. When gaming the edges of the ipad are pushed to the palm of your hand. And that surely gets uncomfortable after a while.
Alot of people agree with me even on this forum. Ive seen posts of them.

Your post was likely downvoted because people disagreed with your initial premise. Maybe you have issues with holding the ipad for extended periods of time, but it seems tons of other people don't. You claim to speak from experience, so do the rest in this thread.

Bottom line - I don't know about you, but I for one know that holding the ipad for extended periods of time does nothing to my hand. Maybe you are just holding it wrong or something?

Since you claim there are people who agree with you, then show us some quotes?

Or look yourself. In this topic one guy agrees with me.
And im not finding other posts, that would be time consuming.

With no disrespect intended, YOU asked the question "Will the ipad3 hurt my hands more?"that NO ONE can answer because there is no iPad 3 yet and no one has YOUR hands so the only responses you can get would be silly conjecture.

Just curious, how old are you and how tall are you? Maybe your hands just haven't matured yet and you need to do some physical labor to develop some callouses to blunt the pain? Or get a pair of those big gloves? :p I'm 6'4" and I can palm the iPad like a basketball. Your size does matter.

If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen and you should stop whining about the responses.

Im sure you all know that after holding the ipad2 for a while your hands are getting a bit uncomfortable because the edges of the ipad kinda push into you hands. Ive viewed the ipad3 leaked photos some time now, but i think this ipad3 may actually get uncomfortable faster then the ipad2. Because the edges look even more sharper?

I would recommend using fingerless padded bicycling gloves. That way you can use your fingers but at the same time protect your delicate hands.

I didn't know that. Doesn't bother my hands at all. If 2 bothers yours, I bet 3 does, as well.

weird how the people who dont get unconfortable dont post here in this topic.
But anyways i wanted to ask and discuss this because maybe some of your guys know ergonomic stuff ect. And the pictures are leaked so yeah i thought there could be made a guess on that.
Il probaly be carrying it permanently in a case then. im not going to hurt my hands again. and i have rough hands, i was a gardener for a long time.

I don't think the pictures help in making a guess as to how sharp the edges are, as it's not a matter of the angles of the entire iPad body, it's a matter of how the edges are finished, which is not a detail one can see from the leaked pictures. What Apple needs to do to solve this problem is to give a more rounded finish to the edges, but unfortunately, from the posts in this thread, it seems people like us who feel the edges hurt our hands are in the minority, therefore it's unlikely Apple sees this as a problem that needs to be resolved. :(

You need to stop trolling and acting like a ass because else il talk to a moderator soon. Almost all your posts are insulting and/or trolling.

You asked an impossible question and should expect silly and stupid answers. Answer me this: will I have lightheadedness after time travel?

But without using the iPad 3, I would recommend if the iPad 2 hurts your hands, do hand exercises to increase hand strength (as an earlier poster suggested), or purchase a softer case.

Everyone who suggests hand excerises is not understanding the problem. This has nothing to do with strength -- ever had a paper cut? Paper weighs nothing, but it can cut skin. I suppose people suggesting hand creme have a closer grasp of the problem, but that doesn't really help, either. Only solution really is to get a case.

I reread the original post. You are correct that exercise might not help, but hand cream will not help either.

Two possible solutions I can think of besides using a case:

A. Use the iPad more.
B. Develop callouses.

iPad 1: didn't hurt my hands. Didn't hurt my mom's hands.
iPad 2: didn't hurt my hands. Didn't hurt my girlfriend's hands.

iPad 1 didn't hurt my hands either.

Good for you and your girlfriend that iPad 2 doesn't hurt your hands. Doesn't mean the problem isn't real for those of us who find that iPad 2 hurts our hands.
