I don’t think there’s any point with these iPhone 15 colours. The red would be so washed out at best it would be a very light pink.

I wouldn't mind this, but happy with my choice of Natural Titanium...

I think that would sell faster than any previous iPhone EVER!!!!

I’m enjoying my choice with the iphone 13 mini RED still. It’s good for me to change up the colors I get for all such devices … variety is the spice of life! etc. Although it was very very tempting to pick that nice forest green option they had…I hope they offer that one again sometime! (Both the Mini and the green color.)

I was surprised to not see Product Red either. Product Red hasn't been the "new spring color" since the iPhone 8. But it always was a new color, especially when the red was boldly colored. It would be a bit odd to offer the iPhone 15 in a super pale pastel red to match with the other colors (it may just look pink, after all), but at the same time it would be odd to have a Product Red iPhone 15 that is a much bolder color than the rest of the colors. I guess we will see.

I'm not expecting the Pro to be released in another color, but a deep red titanium would be beautiful. 😍

I am a bit puzzled as to why there was no PRODUCT (RED) iPhone case option this product cycle as there has been in previous years. I had to resort to a red Kimguard silicon MagSafe case on Amazon this time around. It’s a decent enough case.

Want RED? Case the phone. Want Pin Stripes? Case the phone. Want Hello Kitty? Case. Want Avengers? Case. Miss leather? Case. All colors are available with cases. And most cases will bring some shock-proof drop protection and/or more battery too. A small sampling of what is already for sale...

I know there is a segment of naked (phone) fans... but for the abundant rest of us: get any color you want, any design you want, etc with a case. And if you change your mind in a few months, another case will completely alter the color of your phone and seem "like new" again.

And if you want to support a charity, send the donation direct to them... and/or volunteer some in-person time to them to insure that your contribution is entirely focused on the cause.
Why would a Product(RED) iPhone negatively affect the abundant rest of you who can buy a different color iPhone?

I understand the reason, but I'm not a fan of iPhone mid-year additions. Personally I'm never going to buy a new iPhone when there's a new model just 6 months away, even though I'm no longer an annual upgrader.
I see it the opposite way, as you avoid the initial bugs of the new iOS version.

After all the rumors of a red 15 Pro and Pro Max, I'm willing to bet, once the phones sell a few million, maybe we'll see the Pro line get the red next year in the first quarter. Personally, I'd love to see the orange color that was mocked up and floating around.

PRODUCT(RED) is a helpful organization that contributes to global health causes, specifically some aimed at dealing with HIV/AIDS. I commend Steve Jobs for his decision to have Apple partner with them.

Tim Cook, however, is an unethical corporate scumbag. That's because although PRODUCT(RED) is banned from being sold in mainland China, Cook decided to sell Apple's exact same red-colored devices in mainland China but without the PRODUCT(RED) name on the devices and without any PRODUCT(RED) information paper inside the boxes.

If Cook is not donating any money from the sales of those red-colored products in mainland China to PRODUCT(RED), it shows how truly low of a human he is, and how he is willing to steal from a charity just to make a relatively small amount of money on top of his already morbidly immense wealth.

Harsh assessment, but I get where you're coming from.

This is just another example of Apple hypocrisy, especially when it comes to China. As a gay man, I have a lot of respect for Tim Cook on many levels, but I have no respect for the way he kowtows to authoritarian regimes that persecute gay men and women.

I also have no respect for the way Apple repeatedly gets on its moral crusader high horse in western countries, only to, once again, kowtow to authoritarian regimes while hiding behind the excuse that it obeys local laws (and, therefore, is justified in violating its own principles and values). The truth is, engaging with authoritarian regimes hasn't made those countries more free or democratic. It has only enriched countries whose values are trash and antithetical to what we believe in the US. And Apple is right there, front and center, basking in the glow of its unbridled hypocrisy.

And let's not forget how Apple beats the privacy drum endlessly only to sell out its customers to Google. Naked hypocrisy.

So let's be real. Apple has no values. Like all businesses, they're all about the $$$. I have no problem with that. I do, however, have a problem with hypocrites and liars. I wish Apple would drop all of this nonsense virtue signaling and pretend morality and just get back to being a business. I still love the products, but every year I respect them less and less as a company.

Not this year. They ran out of dye. That's why all the phones are so washed out and the titanium ones aren't painted at all. They found some blue in the back somewhere, but that's it.

This will probably get deleted as off-topic but I see where you're coming from. I wouldn't say they have no values at all. But as you say it's on a scale. Everything is so personal and emotional these days.

It's just that they, like everyone else in this insane society, are forced to constantly shout about how virtuous they are lest they be accused of not being virtuous enough. It's gone beyond human rights and environmentalism simply because those things make sense. It's become a religion.

Never be the first to stop clapping

I believe that (PRODUCT)RED mandates a specific hue (a specific shade of wine red) for its partnership products. A different color would not fit their branding requirements.

I have a red iPhone 11 and I like the color quite a bit; meanwhile the pastel colors of the new iPhone 15 lineup don't interest me. If there's a (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 15 in six months, that might be about the right time for me to upgrade.

Not sure. Apple could simply release a red colour iPhone and not call it (PRODUCT) Red
