I am curious why you just did not pre order? The 6+ 64 g space grey was available for some time during pre orders.

i had a buddy doing it for me that works at a store but i guess i didnt give him the right password and that fell threw.

Carrier stores are a crap shoot. They usually have far less people but the stock they receive is incredibly unpredictable. 3rd party authorized retailers are even worse than that.

ya i know with me luck just 1 week to go

I called 4 local corporate Verizon stores i have around me to ask how many 6+ they received last year. only one said they think a few of each. why is it such a secret? I just want to make sure they will have at least one of what i want.

If it's like last year, I went to stores weeks and months later and they had very little to no stock, and only in certain sizes and colors.

They're not keeping secrets; they just don't know how much stock they'll receive from Apple until they unload and unpack the shipments.

It's store policy. If I said I had a 128GB and you quickly came down and I sold it before you got here, now you will be pissed.

i know but i know they get the shipment the day/night before. its not like santa comes in and leaves them in the back lol.

i agree but if im 1st in line they cant tell me intill i walk in they said. at that time it will be late to make it to another store.

I know,it's also a security issue as well. If you know that a store has specific phones in you can break in and steal them. It's a reach for that reason but I guess I can see it.

I wouldn't give up if the first store is out of stock. Keep trying and you may get lucky and find a store that has exactly what you are looking for.

I know I agree. I always thought that was a stupid reason. The biggest reason is like I said before. When the iPhone launched last year our phones were off the hook of people calling, then racing down to find out we sold the phone, now we had to diffuse the situation.

Do you work at a store? is it a corporate store

when do the shipments come in? if i ask "do you have a 6s+ 64gb space grey" can they say yes or no?

Shipments can come in at any time. With iPhones we really have no idea when we will get them in. They sometimes come on the trucks or they can get dropped shipped to us via UPS. Our GM told us yesterday that we are NOT to tell anyone if we have phones in stock or not. We are to encourage customers to come and place a pre order.

I agree. From all that I have been told over the past couple of releases, the Verizon stores supposedly have ZERO idea what will be arriving, until the truck pulls up on Thursday.

It just amazes me how that works. its like here you have this and this store has this ok ship.

What would that have gained you? Why didn't you just order it yourself?

I live on the east coast so it was at 3am not fun after a day of work LOL. i know i should have but..... owell. now i will just sleep at verizon.

It's highly dependent on market size -- all of their retail stores will get some in, but the model lineup may or may not contain what you want (ie, last year, most stores didn't receive any in Gold units for launch), or the count may be low.

Here in Charleston, WV, I went to the Verizon retail store for the iPhone 6/Plus launch about an hour before they opened (I showed up around 7:00 AM for an 8:00 AM special opening time) and was the third person in line. Got exactly what I wanted, but by 8AM, that line was much, much longer and I'm sure they didn't get everyone what they ideally wanted.

It kinda is like that though haha.

Reminds me of when I preordered the xbox 360 from gamestop. I was number 5 on their list, but they did not know if they would get 1 unit or 100 units. They got 9 the night before. I think santa brought them.

All i want is a 6+ 64gb space grey. i going to be there at mid-night to ensure #1 in line.
