I live on the east coast so it was at 3am not fun after a day of work LOL. i know i should have but..... owell. now i will just sleep at verizon.

All i want is a 6+ 64gb space grey. i going to be there at mid-night to ensure #1 in line.
I know you realized your mistake, but this is just funny. Instead of waking up at 3AM to pre-order at home, you are now going to the store at midnight and waiting in line for hours to maybe get the phone you want if they even have any. :p

My one piece of advice: be sure ahead of time to think about and come up with clear decisions on what variations you'll accept in terms of color and/or storage: e.g. how about a 6+ 64gb silver, 6+ 128gb space grey, etc. If you have decided and reinforced that before-hand you'll be more likely to stick to it if/when confronted with "oh we don't have *exactly* what you want but how about...."

Good luck! :)

Just like Black Friday! You don't want to be sitting there in a packed store trying to decide on the spot.

I got back from the local Verizon store about an hour ago. They told me that they aren't sure what they are getting on the 25th until it comes in but that they pretty accurate. I ordered a grey 64GB S and the order says will be here on 25th. If I wanted a 16GB it would be the 30th. So they don't know, they say, but their order system tells them on each order when it should be there.

When you're just walking in you're at the mercy of whatever shipments the location has sent. So the fact that you want a specific phone, color, and storage capacity really slim down your chances.

I would personally have backup options in place since it's random what you'll get. Maybe a back up color option or opting to go to a different storage capacity if you can swing it. That way you're not leaving disappointed.

Or if you feel like you're settling then wait for the device you want.

They will absolutely have stock I don't know what ratios though usually if you go in the day before and ask if they have your model they will tell you at least if they have ANY In stock

The stores here refuse to say what they actually have to put out even when they have everything unboxed. Last year I went to a store in the evening on the day before launch. I actually heard one of the employees say they had the boxes filled with the paper slips they give to people that they hand out when in line still waiting for the doors to open. I talked to that same person five minutes later and he said he had no idea what stock would be like. To be expected I suppose, but oddly irritating. There was already one person waiting in line outside that night.
