Is there an audiobook version? I wasn't going to read it, but I will if there is an audiobook.

Here's a question: who's doing to do the Audible digital audio book edition, the one you can listen to on your iPod, iPad, or iPhone? Mind you, like I said earlier I've already ordered the Kindle edition for my iPad 2.

I dont yet know how I intend to buy. Part of me, out of respect, wants to buy it via iBooks and read on my ipod and soon iPhone-however that can be hard to read for long periods of time. The kindle version would at least let me view on my MBP.

Yes, I purchased the kindle version, though I sold my kindle earlier this month, so I may cancel that and just but the iBook version. I like how iBooks work on my iPad over the kindle app (though kindle books are more portable being multi-platform).

I'll wait for the overly dramatized movie. Though I do read books. I do not read biographies they are just too boring.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Preordered a hard copy.

If you are concerned about getting it on your PC or Mac, don't forget that you can download adobe digital editions to open most ibooks on your computer.

No, I'm not much for reading biographies written while the subject was still alive to influence the work. Not nearly enough time has past for history to even begin to judge his impact.

That's a questionable statement, but we're all entitled to our opinions.

So don't question it. He is correct. A death is usually followed by an obituary. The media have them all ready to go, for people in the public eye.

A proper biography takes considerably longer to create.

Actually, I feel that an auto-biography would be of more interest to me.

It sounds like this is essentially the auto-biography.

The only biographer to be selected by Steve as 'authorised' and the only one to get proper access.

So while proper biographies in the future may provide a more complete and considered context, this book will remain essential reading for anyone interested in the man.

because it will automatically download the second it becomes available. When I wake up monday, I can just pick up my iPad a start reading. No need to go to the ibooks store, search, and download it.

iBooks and Kindle seem to revolve around one particular U.S. timezone (can't be sure about which), if you live anywhere else then don't expect the book to be waiting for you tomorrow morning. I've pre-ordered books from both stores in the past and have had to wait until midday or later in the UK before they were available to download :(

Anyway, I've ordered my hardcover copy of the book, I'm guessing it'll show up Tuesday or Wednesday though seeing as Amazon only ship Harry Potter books out for release date :p

No. I was going to, but the more recent quotes "destroy android", etc, just make Jobs seem to be a spiteful, hateful man. I'd rather get it from the library in a few weeks, if I read it at all.

Kindle pre-order books are released at 12 a.m. Pacific. I'm not sure when iBooks pre-orders are released. Anyone had any luck finding a hardcover copy in their local stores (Wal-Mart, Barnes and Noble, etc)?

I pre-ordered a hardcover copy with Amazon, but cancelled since they didn't even bother to ship it in time for release day delivery. I'll pick one up at my local book store tomorrow.

I Pre-ordered the iBooks version.

Something about not having to lug around a book and the fact that I can read it on my iPad and/or iPhone just made it seem the right way to go.
