Well firstly what I care about is Apple giving us an actually event date, its the 1st of October down under and still no set date. Secondly I am getting about $40 bucks off a 128GB Ipad 5 so its tempting, thirdly if the mini does not come with 128GB of storage, a A7 processor and a retina display than its going to be 5 all the way.

If the mini doestn't get the retina I'm going for the iPad 5. My iPad 3 can not handle iOS7 all that well so an upgrade is necessary in the coming weeks.

I am a little disappointed with 5S (though I already knew that larger screen wouldn't come) so I'm gonna spend that saved cash on the iPad 5.

Im holding tight with my iPad 2 but Im considering an upgrade. As ive stated in other threads, Heres the plan:

1) If the iPad 5 has much stronger chipset and graphics processing, I'll likely go that route.

2) If not, I will simply get an iPad 4 refurb whoch will be a killer deal by the time the 5 comes out.

Im leaning towards the refurbed 4 but we shall see.

Was going to for sure. Will likely delay the move since iOS6 has become a closer, more appreciated companion now that I have seen iOS7 on the iPad.

Will now wait until frequently used apps become outmoded in terms of my usage.

Going from 4th gen to 5 simply for the new cool design... I'm such an apple wh*re.. :)

Yup! Going from 1st Gen 16GB w/3G to a IPad 5 32GB WiFi.

It will be a big jump and I held off until now as I can't afford a new iPad every year and the iPad 5 will be a significant upgrade for me.

Nope.

Mini 2 will have more worthwhile specs to warrant an upgrade over the current one.

It will cost way less than the iPad 5.

It will be more portable than the iPad 5.

And as far as the commercial goes, I think she will be even more pretty!

Assuming the mini has the same specs and storage options as the 5 i might just get the 16 GB wifi white iPad 5 and a 128GB LTE "black" iPad mini 2.

If not ill get the top of the line iPad 5 in white.

Would like to get both as my girlfriend likes to use my iPad and this way i always have one to use.

Plus i picked up a G4 iMac that i want to convert to an iPad stand for a white iPad 5 so even though i would prefer a spec'd out mini i still want to convert the G4 iMac to an iPad stand!

Going from 2 to 5. Will not consider 3 or 4 refurb-- too heavy!

So my lineup is:
2010 13 Air for working
2013 Touch5 refurb for music and light reading
2013 iPad5 for heavy reading, surfing, email

May be interested in the MBP 13 Retina, but waiting to see if 802.11ac WiFi issues are fixed.

My iPad 3 is superb as of now... Nah.. Gonna skip a few cycles
I am in the same boat...plenty happy with the iPad 3. However, I could use more space, so I might upgrade for that reason. It will probably depend on what the new iPad offers that I can't do with the 3.

My top end 3rd generation was top end to be usable for longer than the 2 years I used my original iPad 3G.

The 3rd generation has the retina, and LTE support, I want and need.

I would be more likely to buy the mini as a companion to replace my Kindle Fire.

My wife will get my iPad 4 which will replace her iPad 1. I shall go for the iPad 5.

I'm currently rocking an iPad 2. Lack of Retina has kind of bothered me since day 1, but not enough to justify an upgrade. Now, with iOS 7, it's just starting to feel a bit too sluggish, so I will likely be preordering a 64GB + cellular iPad 5.

I'm also considering the Surface 2 Pro, but a mini is definitely not in the cards, since this is my only mobile device other than my iPhone (I.e. I don't own a "real" laptop)
