Yes, if there is a USB port

so yes means no!

while i was anticipating ipad5--i am personally moving on to the sony tap 11 or surface2s -- the active pen interface is amazing. The ipad is the best tablet--but now there are tablet computers

I am even less inclined for the 5 now if the leaked specs for the Mini 2 come to fruition.

My current Mini runs like a clock now, I can only imagine how the 2nd gen would again crush the larger iPads in sales. :)

No, won't buy it. But i will get it anyway, my company buys a couple thousand of them and i'm on the list already, purely for personal use.

Will buy myself the new mini if it has a retina display though, or the 2nd gen nexus if the mini will come without a retina.

I need the iPad 5 by mid-Nov. If not, I may be forced to get the iPad 4 or iPad mini 1. The event is said to take place on Oct. 22nd. I wonder if I'll be able to acquire an iPad 5 by Nov. 15th. I'll be going on extended vacation for a few months overseas.

I've been waiting impatiently for the iPad 5 since May. I hope availability is not a big issue.

My iPad 4 has been great. No reason to replace a reliable model.

I'm playing it safe since it seems a bit risky to buy an unproven product until it's been out for several months.

I hope the screens look good and aren't full of light blobs all over the place. Some light bleed is normal but they better be decent and mostly uniform. We pay good money for them.

Speaking as an artist, I will only consider it if they make one with a bigger screen. After that there will be some other concerns I'll have.

Why would anyone vote no? Is there seriously anyone on MR who won't be buying into the new iPad 5 and accompany it with an incredible iPad Mini with Retina for travel?

Another button with "Maybe" would have been useful. My ipad 4 has been turned over to my Fiancee, so I don't have one at the moment.

She wants a Retina mini...so if they are announced, then no, I will have my 4 back and she will get a mini. If no retina mini is announced then I will be buying the ipad 5.

I currently have a 2, which is doing alright, but I can't decide between getting a 5 or a mini 2. If the mini 2 still isn't retina, then it'll probably be a 5. But if the mini 2 IS retina, it'll be a much harder decision :p

Having just gotten an iPad 4 in August, I don't think so. It's serving me fine for the moment. Unless there is some major enhancements then I don't see much of the need to get one just yet.

Going to skip ipad 5 this year and purchase rMBP 13 Haswell instead. :D
Too many tablets.

I've owned the iPad 1, iPad 2 and iPad Mini... I currently don't have an iPad...

I'm going to buy either the iPad Mini 2 or the iPad 5..

My purchase will be decided mainly on comfort and capacity, if the iPad mini (not bothered about retina) is the same weight and with a 128GB option, I'll but that...

If the heavier, then I will just buy the iPad 5.

If it's not going to be light and comfortable to hold, I'll just buy the full iPad.

I suspect that Apple will hold out on iPad mini specs, they like to drip-feed tech on new product lines.

I just sold my iPad 3 so unless the new mini has amazing specs, I'll be picking up the 5 quick as I can.

If the new mini doesn't have retina you would be a fool to buy it.

Why? Because lots of people are content with ther current iPad and, the mini isnt my cup of tea nor is it everyone elses.

Thats why! ;)

By the time both of them are out (iPad 5 and iPad mini 2), I will buy one of them. That's all I can say for sure.

If the iPad mini 2 comes without retina display, then I will buy the iPad 5. Otherwise, it depends on the weight and wieldability of the iPad 5. I won't use the iPad for CPU-heavy tasks such as gaming, only web browsing and media consumption.

i just sold my ipad 2 and I miss it a lot. definetly going to buy the new ipad 5.
I do hope they bring out a 12.9 inch version. it would be perfect for my usage.
