I think a 30 minute departure will do the trick... should put me at the store about 4:30, plenty of time.

Now if I had pre-ordered... surely a bad lunch would have sent me home for the afternoon with a gut ache... ;)

Nope, I'm working late because of Leopard.

I work for a little Mac store (not an Apple Store, but a Mac dealer), so I have to work late in order to sell Leopard rather than leaving early to run go buy it (my dad buys it for me anyways though, so it's not a big deal).

I've got a job interview in the morning and it's about two hours away from my work so I just decided to take the day off. For the people who are away at work....make sure someone is at the place of delivery because it needs a signature. Anyways I figure Friday I could tie up all the loose ends and backup everything until the UPS/FedEx dude arrives.

Not taking the day off, but going down to the store to pick up a Family Pack for myself and one for work (call it an errand if you will). Not too bothered about the T-shirts, I already feel enough of a nerd just for getting the OS on the day of release! :(

Not taking the day off ... I am going to the slashdot party the night before, so I am coming in late. I am sending my GF to stand in line about an hour before I get off work.

I asked my boss for the day off, he said no. So I torched the place. Yay Leopard!

Ok folks.. Reality check?? This is Apple, not microsoft. OS X doesnt need a day off to install it.

No offense, but I really cringe at the thought of a party to celebrate the release of an OS... Im looking forward to it n all. But parties!? Days off work!???

Thankfully I'm on half term...but I will still have tons of work to do...I'll be doing that work on Leopard :)

If you plan to do a clean install you do. Restoring settings, docs, programs...
