I does take a day or two to play around with it, learn all the new features, install programs, configure the OS, create a bunch of posts talking about your experience. I could spend a week.

No, I am not.

First, it isn't released until 6pm. Most people would be out of work by then. Second, it isn't going to be as crowded as getting an iPhone.
Third, working helps me pay for the software :p

I'm actually getting it on Saturday. Don't want to appear to be too eager. ;)

Well, considering UPS has a pretty bad not-at-home-policy, I will have to take the day off to make sure I get the package. Unless it's on a Wednesday, when I'm free.

Not taking the day off because of Leopard release - but Im surely going to play with it later that day! :D

Thankfully, it's a 6pm release on Friday night, or I would have wrecked the whole day. And probably the next day too.

I'll leave work around 5pm and walk up the street to my local Apple store.

I didn't pre-order this time around since I had to wait three days with Tiger. I just hope I chose wisely this time around and can get a copy on the day of launch.

(The fact that some people are receiving their shipments makes me wonder if I chose correctly...)

I wish I had the whole day off. I wish the Family Pack came with 5 DVDs too so I could simultaneously upgrade all the Macs at my house. I wish I could remote control my wife from work and have her upgrade the Macs before I got home. Maybe I can train her to make a Leopard dmg so I will have a head start

Haha, that's wishful thinking.
