Except for iOS6's folder opening animation and lack of shortcuts to key settings.iOS 7 may look better in some areas, but I prefer the speed of 6. Every time I go from Beta 3, 4, 5, etc to iOS 6, I fall in love immediately with how fast the animations play. How fast the icons fall in place and how fast the show-off session with the animations ends. Regardless of how nice it might look, sometimes I need to whip out the phone and check for something quickly. iOS 6 is better for this because by the time you're ready to tap on the next thing, the phone's already done its showing off, whereas with iOS 7 I have to wait until the OS is done being "OoOoO look at my beautiful zooming in and out of apps."
Where exactst was Apple beat? That's because Apples done an excellent job of copying the UI of my Galaxy S4.
I've changed my mind after trying this latest rev of iOS7. At first glance when it was released for developers it looked horrid. But now that its been through a few revs and changed, I like it better. Currently running on my iPhone 5, the advantage is how easy it is to use alongside my S4. There's so much similarity to Android now that Apples made it easy for those of us who like both platforms and carry two phones with us daily.
This is proof that once again while Apple practices ample hypocrisy, they know when they're beat and when to fall in line with what works. iOS 7 promises to give Apple the shot in the arm they need. It's fresh familiar Android like interface will be welcomed by the Apple faithful who secretly were jealous of Android.
Thanks to Googles push behind Android, we are all better off.
I'll be laughing at those who stay on iOS 6. Why? Because of the most recent survey showing that over 95% of dev will update their apps to look like iOS 7.
Have fun dealing with visual inconsistencies, iOS 7 haters.
Over 90% of people who voted will update to iOS 7! I guess it's true what they say, the negative posters are always the most vocal.
Isn't there already a thread that poses this exact question?
