Will you upgrade your iPhone 6 to an iPhone 7?

How many of these "Are you going to upgrade" posts do we need ?

I think this is one of the most valuable threads on Mac Rumors - in fact, it should have been a front page story linked to the round ups about the iPhone 7. This is one of those times when the personal opinions of readers matters a lot - it gives a sense of how much iPhone features actually matter - how much they can impact sales. And you get a lot more side info about each person's reasoning than you would from a survey.

Interesting poll results so far. 30.4% are definitely skipping it, and 34.8% are definitely getting it. If only around half of the people who say they're gonna wait and see before they decide whether or not to upgrade actually do upgrade, I'd say that's pretty good.

Yes, but only because the battery life on my 6 is becoming atrocious. Or else I'd wait another year. I even thought about buying a used 6s to hold me over but figured with the money I'd spend for that I'd rather use Apple's iPhone Upgrade program to have the latest and greatest which will still allow me to easily get the new phone next year as well.

I answered this in previous posts; my answer would be no.
I can't stand being on installment plans and wondered often why I didn't just pay cash. I will be paying off the installment plans and sticking with this phone.

With the companies changing over to this particular kind of phone upgrade it had made me want to upgrade less and less. Before, I would upgrade every year switching between the two lines we have. The cost was about 350 or 400 per phone with two year contract (didn't bother me) if I remember correctly. Now, it's 750.00. No more installments and paying big prices. I might just pick up the iPad Pro again for fun.

I have been upgrading iPhones every other year for my wife and I since the iPhone 5 on Verizon (we both had the iPhone 4 as soon as it was available on Verizon). I had the 5, she had the 5s, I got the 6+, she has the 6s. I will be upgrading to the 7+ or whatever they call the 5.5" phone this fall, and she will be upgrading to whatever they call the 4.7" phone next year.

My contract with Verizon runs out in September and I am looking very forward to dumping them to switch to T-Mobile. There is no killer feature the iPhone 7 needs to have to convince me to upgrade, I simply need a new phone so might as well go with the 7. I just hope there are good upgrade deals like there were when the 6 came out.

In my honest opinion, if some one has the 6s plus, then they have all around good phone shouldn't feel the need to upgrade. The 6s is nearly equal, but battery life could be better, which is why someone like myself is going for the 7 (6 waiting for 7). Depending on how someone uses their phone will depend on their needs.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get a new battery?

To be honest no. Not for a design that is three years old and a step backwards for me based on the headphone jack.

Only reason I upgraded to 6S+ was 2GB ram , rest was gimmicks , I don't need more gimmicks . A new design is the only thing that would tempt me.

Most likely yes. My iPhone 6 is dying and the battery sucks. I could get it replaced for only £79 but I think i'll buy the iPhone this year and put it on ebay when I upgrade again next year. I normally don't do that but if next years phone is as good as the rumours suggest i'll happily upgrade again.
It's £59.

For me, I'm thinking this could be the first time I wait it out for 3 years. If there's not much new other than camera / headphone jack removed I'll probably wait. If they manage to give more than what the rumors are saying, I would consider upgrading and then probably upgrading to the supposed big update next year. As it stands right now though I'm pretty content with my 6 plus and the current rumors aren't really getting me hyped. The best one was honestly a darker grey, but that alone won't get me this year.
I'm thinking the same. But I'll wait until the official announcement.

I have the iphone 5 which its battery died. So i need to buy new one. That's the question maybe someone can help me. Should i wait for the 7 right now or go for the 6s ? I'm asking this because i think the next year -10th anniversary of the iphone- will be huge. And i'm mostly going to buy that iphone too and give my 6s/7 to my mom.

So buying 6s or 7 which one is good for this case right now? I need your experience and help. Thanks.

If you'd rather get next year's, and you need a new iPhone now, get the 6s now and wait till the 8.

That's exactly what i prefer cause they should do some changes about 8. And after these leaks i can't say i'm in love with 7 but who knows they can suprise us.

But if you say so then i think i'm going for the 6s. But besides this what do you think will iphone 7 be way better than the 6s?

Well I think we'll see a better camera, faster processor as always, and refined design. Possible waterproofing but we won't know until official announcement.

You can't even imagine. I'm so hyped right now. Bigger screen better battery! Can't wait :)
Yes the bigger screen is awesome, I've enjoyed it a lot this past year since I upgraded from the 5s back in august last year.
