fell asleep during the match lol (couldnt have a late night). Roddick won in 5 sets… oh well. also Haas beat Djokovic!

Djokovic is a big loss for me. I just love his impersonations of Nadal and Maria. I did not think Roddick would make it by Hewitt. This is great!
Serena will probably win her match tomorrow but Venus is up against Safina and she is super tough!

Venus is up against Safina and she is super tough!

Apparently not, lol.

6-1, 6-0, I believe?

I don't know what's up with Safina. She plays well one day, and then completely bombs the next. Maybe Venus is too much for her.

That stirs the question: Is her #1 ranking really #1?

PS - Can't wait for Federer-Roddick rematch. ;)

Federer will win in straight sets against Roddick (again). When Roger is pasting Andy again, just think of the contrast between Roddick and Nadal when going against Federer.

oh man Roddick was playing so well to win the first and almost win the second. Federer really went into high gear to win the second down 4 points in the tie breaker.

This is all part of Federer's draw-out-the-final-game plan. He wants an epic fight to make history, not a straight sets win.

Go Federer!

It's interesting to me that while this is clearly a well played match, it doesn't have the electricity of last year's final.

Its getting boring now. Serve=Game, Serve=Game. Lather, rinse & repeat

incredible but really roddick doesnt realistically look like he'll break federer but feederer has the potential 2 break roddick, ie now!

Boo. Unlucky roddick. No justice at all...Federer was the inferior of the two IMHO

Bummer. I think Roddick played the better match, but just had some unlucky breaks.

I'll never question Roddick's heart again. What a performance, and I very much hope he gets a Wimbledon title before he's done.

ugh

i really wanted roddick to win. federer has won this **** way too many times.

Roddick definitely played the better tournament. For Federer, the fact that it took even 5 is sorta disappointing give his pedigree. I'm glad to see Andy playing so well and doing it the proper way - no longer dependent on the serve and forehand, rather going to the net. The last thing I want to see is Karlovic play, who cares if you can serve if you can't hit a return to save your life.

Roddick should've won. To have spent so much time on court before hand then last so long in a final is unbelievable. I hope he wins Wimbledon next year, he really deserves it.

i really feel bad for Roddick but in the end im glad Fed won. Mostly because he broke Sampras and we can stop earing about it now!!

Roddick will be back tho and im sure he will win it soon. heck with his game as good as it is he will probably be the man to beat at the US Open cause his serve is better on the hard courts. he's going to pick himself up and have an incredible hard court season.

Roddick doesn't look nearly as graceful as Federer, but I think he actually outplayed him.

Federer didn't look very sharp in the finals, he hit it an inch long or an inch wide many times, and several times he completely mis-hit it.

With that said, I'm glad Federer won and set his record... but I hope that Roddick continues to do well and that Nadal gets healthy and wins some tournaments, because the sport needs some rivalry.
