Hi guys. I am going to install windows 10 to my imac. Some people say that after the 30 days you get if you dont activate your software, it shuts down every hour. I dont know if this is true. Is it true?

This should probably answer your questions about Win10 activation (it's different for 10 than previous Win versions).
But, in short, Win 10 that is not activated does not shut down every hour.
It DOES show a watermark on the screen, and your can't do online syncs.
Other than that, Win 10 mostly works, even while not activated.

Or, why not just activate it? You can always purchase a license, online direct from Microsoft.

Thank you. When you say online syncs, do you mean stuff like steam syncing game data?

Just to clarify my statement - You get a watermark in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and you can't utilise Microsoft account services such as syncing settings between devices.
I don't know anything about how Steam works. If Steam needs Microsoft account services for syncing game data, then you will need to activate 10. Otherwise, play on :D
(Oh, and you won't be able to change personalization of your Window system, (such as wallpaper, I suppose) until you activate. )
