There are some excellent white wines...Chablis, or Pouilly-Fuisée from Burgundy, Riesling or its kin from Alsace, Viohnier from southern France....As the temperature is rising, I have decided that I’ll try a few more white wines this Summer, to fill the hole caused by me never having liked white wine much.
Yum.I too bought a spicy Riesling today, to be opened some time next week,
A French Chardonnay, from Burgundy, is pretty much unbeatable...and I will probably buy a Chardonnay next time I’ll visit my favourite wine vendor,
Enjoy your Bolognese; an Italian red wine would be my recommendation for that.which will also be next week (I forgot to purchase a red wine for the Bolognese I’ll cook next weekend).
Exhaustion, and evil hangovers in the days when I didn't know that one needs to hydrate even more (and, nowadays, and for the part quarter of a century, I have been religious about consuming the best part of two litres of water each day) when one is flying than one would consume normally.Any effects?
The Trappistes Rochefort 10 is a superlative beer, simply superb; I cannot recommend it highly enough.I was recommended the Rochefort 10 again, and I noticed that I haven’t had that yet. I shall change that.
I don't doubt it.Still no luck finding the Rochefort. But looking at the calendar, it’s not the end of the world: tomorrow’s the 30th of April—the 1st of May has been a bank holiday in Germany for nearly 100 years now, and every year on the eve of it there's the traditional bock beer session at my local. I’ll soldier through the week somehow...
A superb Belgian beer, so good that you may run the risk of taking it for granted. The Rochefort 8 was surprisingly easy to drink, according to my notes. No fancy flavours, just a honest Belgian beer.
