Here’s the Now. No Belgians involved, I’m afraid.

Alcohol (other than a small beer, or perhaps a light glass of wine) rarely works well with the actual act of travelling.

Same. I pretty much never partake of alcohol while flying. Don't like getting dehydrated or having my senses dulled.

The last time I did was when we flew to Europe on Air France and I finally fulfilled my childhood fantasy of sipping a glass of Champagne in the upstairs lounge on a Boeing 747. Nevermind that Air France had converted the upstairs lounges on their 747s into Economy Plus seating by that point — it still counts!

Last night, I enjoyed a glass (or two) of Pouilly-Fuissé, a classic (and almost buttery and creamy in texture) white wine from Burgundy.

Bought some wine yesterday: Two bottles of Viognier, (two different vineyards, one was 100% Viognier, the other a blend), a Côtes du Rhône comprised of 100% Grenache, and a Pinot Gris and a Gewürztraminer - both from Alsace.

I like it. Juicy, smooth and creamy. Thank you.

It is a terrific beer, one of my favourites.

Last night, I enjoyed a glass (or two) of Chablis, while the previous evening, in a rather good tapas bar/wine bar, I sipped and savoured two glasses of Alberino, an exceedingly nice Spanish white wine; the third glass was a Godello, another rather pleasant Spanish wine.

Yes! Yes !! YES!!! Spring is here again and summer on the way. All the open air terraces are opening in Geneva and around the lake area. Time for local beers, wine and accompanying food with friends and why not on my own. Long weekend up next too. 🍻
