Currently it is 39F here in middle of nowhere Alaska. What little snow we had this year has since melted and it has been raining/drizzling for the last week or so.

It's been rainy but it warmed up. End of last week (Thursday/Friday ish) it was in the teens (15-18 degrees).

Tonight/tomorrow there's a high of 24 degrees and a low of 12. So..cold.

12F and 20 inches of lake effect snow forecast. Snowing heavily now.

Four feet of snow in parts of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

We already have about 14" on the ground. Local ski areas Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands opened last weekend; Boyne Mt. opens Friday.

Lake Superior starting to ice up, way ahead of schedule. LOL, the last ice came off that lake on June 14.

Winter Snowstorm

18 degrees right now at 130am near StLouis. Had about and inch or so of snow this past weekend. Looking at mid to high 30s the rest of the week.

It was 110 degrees yesterday here in your terms.

43 already? It's only getting to 28 max in Melbourne, and 27 in Brisbane! You have to be somewhere out in the Nullaboor, or Alice Springs, or Darwin for it to be that hot!

BL.

Nope, I'm on the Sunshine Coast.

But that's only an hour or so east of Brisbane.. If anything, it should be cooler on the cost from the breeze coming off the ocean.. I'd expect 43 if you were going towards Toowoomba or Ipswich, but not towards the coast..

No one expected it here either, yes it's normally the other way around. It was the hottest November date on record since the 1960s.

I'm in Norman, Oklahoma, which got smacked with the cold (but no wintry precipitation, fortunately) earlier this week.

Spot the cold front:

Add that in with winds sustained over 25 mph and gusting over 40 mph. It didn't feel too great outside.

Is there a website that will generate these plots for various locations of interest? I really like it.

It's 32.8 degrees here where I'm located on Long Island. Thankfully there's no snow in the forecast for the next 10 days. I used to love snow when I was young. Now I hate it.
