That's funny because in the Southern Tier Finger Lakes we have a dusting of snow still on the ground!
It was too warm to get snow in the 5 boroughs and Long Island. I thought for sure we'd get sleet at the very least, but nope, all rain.

Then you should say NYC not "Southern NY". For all of you on the "Island" just say "The Island".![]()
Where are you?
It's 28 degrees and snow covered outside. Anyone else got snow or cold???
It was 110 degrees yesterday here in your terms.
43 already? It's only getting to 28 max in Melbourne, and 27 in Brisbane! You have to be somewhere out in the Nullaboor, or Alice Springs, or Darwin for it to be that hot!

Nope, I'm on the Sunshine Coast.
But that's only an hour or so east of Brisbane.. If anything, it should be cooler on the cost from the breeze coming off the ocean.. I'd expect 43 if you were going towards Toowoomba or Ipswich, but not towards the coast..

I'm in Norman, Oklahoma, which got smacked with the cold (but no wintry precipitation, fortunately) earlier this week.
Spot the cold front:

Add that in with winds sustained over 25 mph and gusting over 40 mph. It didn't feel too great outside.
