Wireless Charging Test (w/IPhone 8 Gold Pics)

Got a wireless charger stand off Amazon. Works great! No issue with leather case. I got one that included a cable/adapter (not all come with).

Really glad apple finally got onboard. Looking forward to later when places will offer public wireless chargers for use.

Ya but how long is it taking? And you can’t use it while it charges. The speed and no use makes me not even want to go there specially with fast charging now available..

To me wireless is just a cool option to have. I don’t get why people get upset about it...you can still use a cable. I still plan on using cable often since you can charge while using it on cable...and wireless isn’t used everywhere just yet. But for using bedside while sleeping, or in office it is useful. Frees up an extra cable that I can take somewhere, etc. Now coworkers can just keep borrowing my cable haha.

If you except the wireless to charge while walking around the house...yea...keep waiting...that’s future stuff lol

Fast charging is nice, but need to buy the USB-C cable and adapter to use it.

Tomorrow I will test charging time.

Is that the taupe case? I have charcoal grey for my silver 8+ but I may exchange it for another color. Taupe, saddle brown (had this for three years) or dark aubergine

I would agree with this. Especially given that if you can't see the lightning port in the dark, it's rather inconvenient to try to search for it with the lights off. And having to set your iPhone down on the charging mat, would greatly help that.

I bought this Anker one from Amazon and it works fine, Doesn’t seem to charge any slower than it does with the cable. It’s OOS at the minute but you can still get it off eBay.

I got the Belkin wireless charger and place my phone on it for the first time and it shows 70%. About an hour and a half later I checked and my 8+was at 100%. Happy.

Just saw someone mention that in a previous post on this thread. Wasnt sure if that was with all chargers or just the charger shown in the first post.

Are you guys meaning not able to use it while sitting on the charging pad? Because that would be false. I woke up in the night reached over and read some notifications wout ever taking it off the charger. Then I operated the alarm stop in the morning.

You can use your phone while it is wireless charging. But given that it is so easy to just pick it up and then put it back down on the chargerf again I am not sure why one would need to do that unless their phone was dead.

I too was wondering how much I would use wireless charging when I had my Note 5. But once you have it, it is awesome. I love being at work and just setting it on the charger at my desk or on my night stand.
