300$ reduction is a very good price drop and you can expect many more once the 12 line gets actually released. If iPhone 12 has 5G of any form, the carriers will be actively promoting them at the same time trying to get rid of the old 4G iPhone stock, which is the entire current range.

However, I seem to remember that one of your previously discussed problems was the current OLED tech. If it is still an issue for you, you might be better of waiting for iPhone 12 release and actually trying them out. I bet you will want to anyway, despite what you think about them now, as you have tried 11 Pro already and know exactly what to expect. 😊

I'm on the upgrade program and upgrade every year. When I went from X to XS to be honest I barely noticed a difference. That was not the case going from XS to 11 Pro. The 11 Pro battery has been drastically better for me. Love the photos I get with the extra lens and night mode.

You couldn't pay me to go back to Touch ID, even with mask wearing.

That is one thing I miss about smaller phones. It's so awkward trying to use an 11 Pro with one hand sometimes.

It’s awkward in a way you have to adjust and fumble when using 1 handed. Even after 4 months I had to adjust and fumble with the 11 Pro.

With the SE there is no adjustment.

I was concerned about OLED. I definitely felt it affected me, although I never used it very long, so I don’t know if there were adjustments I could have made. Either way, you’re right, and I’ve decided to see what the 12s have to offer before making a decision.

I think I’m making progress with my thinking though because the old me (from 2 months ago - ;-p) would have just clicked the “buy” button on that 11 pro. The new me - the one that is trying to change her thinking about phones/phone usage - stepped away from the ATT website, came here, asked questions, saw reason, and decided to wait.

This is true. Even though with a Loopy case I can stretch and reach that upper left corner on the 11 pro, on the SE it’s not even an effort to reach any spot on the screen.

Why so much indecision over a phone that you’ve mentioned multiple times isn’t going to work for you?

I get the temptation of “saving” $300, but the real savings would be to just wait to replace when the SE2 doesn’t serve you any longer. At the very least I’d wait until the 12 series is announced and then make your decision. You’ll have more options :)

Yea I’d wait for the 5.4. I’m assuming the 12 Pro won’t work for her because it’s going to be a bigger phone. If she doesn’t like the 5.4 she can always get the 11 Pro.

I’m not undecided at this point. I really liked a lot about the 11 pro, so though there are things I didn’t know if I’d love, the size was just perfect. The reason I didn’t keep it was because of the cost. I just couldn’t wrap my brain around a grand + tax for it. $700 made it more tempting.

That being said, I’m not making the change - gonna hold off to see what the 12s offer, and then decide.

I thought the issue with you was the size and weight of the 11 Pro.

I have the SE2020. A part of me wants to upgrade to the 12 for a better camera. But I’m loving this size and the Touch ID which has been great during this pandemic.

That’s the issue with me when I had the 11 Pro. First it was barely pocketable in a case, 2nd when I would walk the dog and someone text me it wasn’t very comfortable using 1 handed.

With the SE it’s comfortably pocketable with a case and I can whip it out and use it 1 handed with no issues.

I don't have that problem i can easily use my 11 pro one handed. I don't really even need to take my phone as i have a cellular watch and AirPods.

The 12's wont be any cheaper, not here anyway always go up $100 at least. The 11 pro is holding it's value best here even better than the max, for $300 off i'd jump on it now, last of the best 5.8" phone with up to date tech/camera etc.

I love the size. Didn’t love the weight. It’s not as easy to use one-handed for sure, but I just felt like the 5.8 gives you a good size screen while still in a fairly small package. If it wasn’t SS, the weight would likely be good too.

Well it was the iPhone 8 plus replacement, bigger screen smaller iPhone.

That makes sense. In my situation, I am going to have to purchase another phone either way because the SE I have was promised to my granddaughter. I never intended to keep it past the 12 releases. The thing is, I don’t really want any of those, and there are things I DO like about the 11 pro.

The issue here is do I get an 11 pro for $300 off, or an SE2?
Based on your picture I’m shocked you have a grand daughter lol.
Anyway $300 off is a good deal but can you wait little bit longer because I bet prices will fall further when the 12 is released.

Totally with last comment, once the 12´s are here, the 11 pro is going to be cheaper on Amazon, so once the 12´s are out you can get the 11P if you want it for a good price, even the 256 option.

I can´t handle a 64gb phone for 700 dls nowadays, 128 is the best option for me.

I think the 5,4 is going to fit you well, let's wait and see... weight is the key, even more than size.

Well thanks. I actually have 4 granddaughters, and 4 grandsons. :)

But yeah, I think you’re right, and am definitely waiting at this point.

I have a 64 gb SE with 41 gigs available. I had a 128 XR and 11, but I never even made a dent in the storage. When I bought the SE, I knew I was gonna give it to my granddaughter, so I purposefully bought the smallest, cheapest one, but I just don’t really need more than that.

I do agree that for the price it’s pretty lame, but it would work for me.

Either way, I’m definitely not getting it at this point.

Damn our younger son iPhone 7 won’t charge. He likes small form factor. I’m wondering if I should get an 11 Pro again and give him my SE 2020.

You don't take many photos/videos of them then? I have 130gb of family photos/videos on my 11 pro.

We’ve talked a few times about this lol. We both have our “phone issues”. That said, were so very close to the iPhone 12’s being released and I know you have an upgrade in your AT&T account so I think it would be better to just wait and if you don’t like any of the 12’s (which I’m not sure I will yet) then get the other SE and your granddaughter will still have her phone.

I have told myself FINALLY after all the back and forth this year... remember I started the year with an iPhone XS, then went to an iPhone 7, iPhone XS (again), iPhone 11, iPhone SE 2, iPhone 11 (again), iPhone X, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone SE 2 (again) and now I’ve decided that I am holding this SE 2 until the new phones are released and then I’m making my decision. The worst part is that I still have the iPhone X and iPhone 11 that I could switch too, but I’m tired of switching my SIM card and my wife believes I am outright INSANE 😂😂.

So while $300 off seems like a good deal I think for now you’d be better off waiting. Just wait until we see the 12’s and if you don’t like them I’m almost sure the 11 pro may be cheaper than now or you still have another SE 2 to fall back on at that time.

I realize I can’t be a whole heck of a lot of help when we have basically the same type of issue, but I can try lol.
