4G compatibel?

Nope
I have an iPhone 5 (personal)
and I have a Galaxy S3 (work)

The Galaxy is never turned on or with me, and the number is forwarded to my iPhone

Hi!
I'm a galaxy s3 user but I'm thinking about buying a iphone 5s..
But there's just 1 thing that's not really clear to me: can the iphone 5s receive the 4G/LTE connection?

I try to google it but sometimes it can and on other sites it's not possible..
Can you help me with this?

Because, if the iphone 5s can't receive 4G then I wouldn't buy it I think..
Thnx!

Grtz

It has LTE.

Huh. Sounds promising. Which phone? Sign me up for that one

Any android phone can use Hangouts as default messeging app.

I sold my 5s for a Note 3 and then sold that for an HTC One M8 and Im now back to the 5s. Just so much easier since so many friends and family have iPhones and I have all Apple products in the house. Really looking forward to the larger screen iPhone in Sept though.

I use both, and while I really like iOS...no way am I selling the Note 3 for an iPhone!

The Note 3, for me, is superior to the iPhone in form and function!

My current combo is Note 3 and Retina Mini [ LTE ] :D Best of both worlds!

Same here. Had note 3, m8, now back to my old iPhone 5.

Ordered a nexus 5 tonight. Going to sell my iphone 5 to cover the cost then possibly sell the nexus when ever the next iphone arrives.

I don't have an iPhone anymore. But if I did, yes! I would trade it for money first and buy two Android phones.

My list -
HTC One (2013)
HTC One M8 (2014)
HTC Butterfly S (2013)
OnePlus One (2014)
Motorola Moto X (2013)
Motorola Moto G (2013)
LG G2 (2013)
Google Nexus 4 (2012)
Google Nexus 5 (2013)
Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (2014)
Sony Xperia ZR (2013)
Sony Xperia Z2 (2014)
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (2013)
Samsung Galaxy S5 (2014)
Asus Padfone 2 (2012)
Asus Zenfone 5 (2014)
O+ Imagine (2013)
Lenovo S820 (2013)
Huawei Ascend P7 (2014)

I find iOS useless without its apps and iTunes. I had 80+ third party iOS apps and only used about 20 of them. I think iOS is just an app launcher. Android can go beyond opening apps. And the asking price is ridiculous for something that can do half less than Android. It is ironic. I used Android and became a minimalist with apps. I only have 40 third party apps. With iOS, I had too many apps I rarely used.

I too am a former iPhone user. To answer the OP, I would say yes, but I myself did not trade in. What I did was sell the iPhone on Amazon after buying the Galaxy S4 Active.

On the other hand, and going OT here, if the question was "Would you trade your iPad for an Android tablet?", I would say no way. :D

Best comical thread ever ...

iOS useless without apps ? iOS an app launcher ?
What are you supposed to do with any os without apps ?

No, I wouldn't (trade my iPhone for an Android). I have a variety of Android phones, a Windows Phone running WP8, and an iPhone 4. In my experiences, Android phones regardless of quality and price range all have had poor battery life and performance. (Android's task management has a broken design IMO)

I've been extremely impressed with Windows Phone 8 running on a Lumia 520. I tested 8.1 out for a week on it, and it looks to be even better. Battery life is even better than on the iPhone.

My iPhone 4 is running iOS 5.1.1 (due to tweaks required to get it working with StraightTalk)... battery life continues to be amazing. Performance is still lightning quick. When I need to replace this combo I'll evaluate what iPhone/iOS combo is available and how it sizes up against Windows Phone and make a decision then.

I'm sure you have had more experience with Android phones than I have, but to say the iPhone battery life is amazing is hard to believe. I have had the original iPhone, 3, 3GS, and 4 (not the newer phones though) and in my experience it is always hard to get through a day without charging, perhaps 18 hours if I am lucky. I just got an LG G2 and have gotten 72 hours (3 days!) without charging, and even then it was as 35% battery. I don't know what you consider "amazing" battery life.

I'm regularly getting 3 full days of use on my iPhone without charging... I could probably go a 4th but don't want to let go that low. I was never able to get that on any of the Android phones.

I would seriously like to know how you do that, that is nowhere near my experience.

I would never trade my iPhone for an Android.

Instead, I would own both! Which I already do. I have an iPhone 4 and Note 2.

I'm not doing anything special with it. Maybe it's because I'm still on 5.1.1.

Or maybe because I don't stream music on it all day. I know many who own iPhones do that, I seem to be the exception.

I'd consider it, but it would really depend on the Android phone.

The HTC One is a great phone with a fantastic screen, but the camera sucks. I owned one for about 6 months, and I really enjoyed using it aside from the camera. I ended up dropping it and it took some pretty heavy damage, so I bought the 5s which had just been released.

The Nexus 5 seems to be pretty nice as well, but as for trading my iPhone? No, but only because it would only cost me $350-400 to buy one outright.

I did this experiment and now I am back to my iPhone 5S. I bought an HTC One M8 three weeks ago. The OS has some very nice features, some rough edges and the device has a great design.
I don't agree though that the screen is fantastic. It look very nice, but it doesn't have the color accuracy of the iPhone. This was a deal breaker for me, so I sent the device back. If you don't care about that, then Android has some really interesting stuff going on, but also a worse out of the box experience.
I would suggest, if you are a Mac user that appreciates tight integration, and a polished OS, and attention to detail, then stay with iOS. There is nothing better. If you like customizing stuff and don't care about integration with OS X, then give it a go.

Another thing that bothered me was the lack of accidental tap detection. The HTC would register all taps, even when I didn't want it too. Asking about that in an Android forum, I found out that almost all Android devices lack that.
Also tapping in on the title bar scrolls on the top of the page, regarding of application. Try that on Android...nothing happens.
The small things show the difference

I strongly recommend you to try WP 8.1 on a more powerful device: you'll love it.

LG G2 is maybe the best phone regarding battery life (maybe the Lumia 1520 is slightly better) ...
An iPhone can't compete with it, but with most of the others surely it can.

It's a pity that such a beautiful hardware (LG G2) is crippled by an awful UI ........

You aren't using it so much, I'd say ....

3 days on a single charge on a smartphone are very light usage.

That may be. But my usage on Android, iOS, and WP8 are all the same and yet resulted in very different battery life. It's not like I said, "ooh, I'm on iOS I gotta baby this thing" but then on Android, "pedal to the metal on this baby!".

My observations are just that... my observations, based on my usage patterns. My conclusion is that WP8 > iOS > Android... for me.
