There's no point in having the iphone without data in my opinion. You're better off getting a free razr or whatever instead of spending 199 or 299 or more for the iphone and not fully use it. That makes you a poser![]()

What if I use my cell phone for texting, making calls, and I don't want to carry around an iPod at the same time?
I think there are ALOT of people who would purchase an iPhone for this purpose, but who won't pay the $30 or even $20 for the data plan.
What is the point of carrying around an iPod touch and a regular cell phone? Why not carry around an iPhone w/o the data?
Apple is missing the boat here big time, but I suspect it is AT&T who is blocking this.
I think you would sell more more iPhones w/o Data, than you would sell the mythical $99 iPhone Nano. It is the cost of the data plan that is stopping the next group of buyers, not the cost of the phone...
