I honestly LOVE my 128GB rose gold 7.... but I'm also coming from a 64GB 5s. Maybe the solution for people who nit-pick and complain about every aspect of their iPhone is to not upgrade every year!

Wow. Does Anyone Actually LOVE Their New iPhone 7 Plus?

This is exactly me. I went from 5S to 6 Plus when they released 2 years ago and the jump in size was way too much. Having the 6 and 6S has eased the transition well. I am very happy with my 7 Plus.
I think you meant shallower depth of field (more compression). a longer depth of field would bring more of the background in focus. the 56mm on the Plus is hardly a tele though. it's closer to a standard focal length with a normal field of view.

I moved up to a 7 plus from a 6s plus. Main reason? Home button and the water/dust resistance. I've been asking and wanting and dreaming of this home button for years. The water and dust resistance is great since I work for a local water department, so obviously my job puts me near wetness, and just as much dust as well. Headphone jack....I used it on my 6s. Doesn't bother me that it's gone. Love the look better. Stereo speakers...does make a difference. Makes me laugh at all the people who say "it sounds like ****". Dude. It's a phone speaker. It's not going to be premium audio, nor is it meant to be.

First of all, I have had every iPhone since the iPhone 4, this was the first time since the iPhone came to Verizon that I did not have an iPhone on launch day. But I did get it yesterday and I am very happy with it.
I am coming from a 6s to a 7 plus. Previously I went from 6 plus to 6s and I am happy to be back to the plus.
I usually charge the battery while moving all my music and media to the new iphone and then drain it completely. It finished charging around 11am, I used it heavily and the battery died around 12:30pm today. 25 hours, heavy usage while indexing without the battery being conditioned. That impressed me.
The black finish is so much better than the black on my first iPhone 5. It's a nice stealthy black, and went in the Apple leather case pretty soon after opening it. Speaking of which, I like what they did with the buttons on the new cases.
I do notice the speed bump, like every new iPhone, I take notice to everything being snappier.
While waiting, I was cringing that I might get a phone with the yellow screen, not the case. Nice and bright, no complaints there. I am so happy to be on the 5.5", crisp and very legible. I am also not noticing any processor buzzing or noise.
The Taptic are good, didn't take long at all to get used to the home button. I was nervous it would be weak like the old HTC vibrate, but the tap like feeling is pretty accurate, and I like the haptic effect when scrolling through settings.
I'm not bothered by the headphone jack, they included the dongle and earbuds. I will likely get the Airpods as well. Speakers sound good, and I have to say I am thinking the quality of listening to the buds through the lightning port has some improvement. I think it sounds great.
I was also very happy about the capacity bump, I don't think I'll be filling 256 gb or coming close, and I could load every piece of media at full quality without being concerned in any way of needing more space.
I don't get hung up on the design, how much more can you do with a flat slab of glass with rounded edges? To me, this iPhone has improved in every way. No regrets here at all.

Yes I meant better as in shallower rather than more.
I understand it's not what most would call a telephoto lense, but that's what Apple has called it. Therefore, that's how the vast majority will refer to it and understand when others refer to it.
Picking apart tiny parts of my statement to obfuscate my purpose really doesn't add anything to the conversation the rest of us were having though.
I have had every iPhone since the 3GS. I upgrade yearly, and each year I find something to love.

The 7+ will be my first iPhone. It is what made me switch after so many years
I got my MB 256MB 7 Plus at 1:15pm and been using it non-stop all day. Bottomline is that I love the phone. But here's the catch, it's my first Plus model. Not sure how I would feel if I owned a 6S Plus. My previous phone is a iPhone SE and before that 3 Galaxy Note models.
I LOVE mine but you have to remember, these forums are 75-85% whiny and overly OCD people and they lose their minds about the smallest things and act like everything is the worst then 6 months down the road they love it

Welcome aboard, it's a pleasurable experience if you ignore the crazies about hating everything!
It's a phone what's to LOVE? Does it work? Yes. Does it work better than last years model? In my experience yes. Anything else and the person needs to get a life. It's a phone.... not a new lung. IF one is expecting the next coming of christ ANY time a new item (no matter that item) hits the market they will ALWAYS be disappointed.
Got mine today and I'm quite happy.

- Coming from an iPhone SE, I'm blown away by the screen and its readability.
- 3D touch seems extremely handy - how could we ever miss this one?
- Too early to tell something about the battery. I hope it'll be a bit better than the SE, but I'll wait a few more days for my verdict on that one.
- Photos are just awesome. How anyone could be disappointed with that one, impresses me.

wouldnt say I love it, but I'm satisfied. I changed from rose gold to black (will get a JB in a few weeks too) so the colour makes a big day to day different.
I'm mainly upset about the massive UK price increase - I had to cough up a lot more than I wanted to, even after selling my 6s+

I had 2 phones to sell (6S + and S7 edge) so I only ended up having to pay £80 for my 128GB 7 plus but I too was not happy about the price increase. I did moan for sometime after the keynote about the prices but eventually resigned myself to buying it.
