WOW just won a Macbook alu 2.0 for $900 ???help look

Yeah, eBay for the most part is pretty safe when paying through PayPal. The only part that sounds a little off is the $900 offer being accepted. I mean, for all we know, you're the seller of the item getting some free advertising.
 
na if it was i would have used real pics and not sold pros for 1500 shiped

You might not need to worry. Just last week I bought an iPod touch 32gb 2g for $270 brand new. Got it in 3 days from UPS. I thought it was too good to be true but in fact it was brand new. You can find some amazing deals from eBay.

it seems like usps.com tracking system is down. have you seen any updates to your tracking number?

perhaps call usps. I've asked for a tracking number for my macbook pro that i won, and I haven't gotten one yet.

i will definitely let you know if the tracking number i get is the same one you get. that would be a tell-tale sign

I hope you get the Alum Macbook...

I have read all the replies posted by people on this thread. I checked the link you provided us and found several things that were bugging me.

I thought New Alum Macbook was too ordinary for Firewire?:eek: and DDR2 Ram...hmmm
I know someone mentioned it might be the old macbook(possibly white book?)

I am also very curious about this situation you are in and do hope you get the Alum 2.0 GHz macbook:D

Keep us updated and only the boxed Macbook will tell...
 
i'm shocked that you even bought it, without the auction even having real photos. i would never, unless they gave me photos via email when asked; so i could look at the data on the photos [info].

don't get me wrong i hope you get your item, i know i've fell for stupid things like this in the past. it just made me more cautious.

I really do hope you get the ALU macbook, but I doubt it. Unless you work with this scammer, and are going to say you got it for the low price. Then other people will buy, and will get scammed.

$1500 for the lower level MBP. no tracking number yet.

not really expecting one. i'm expecting to make a dispute with my credit card.

Well, if he bought it and didn't know it was stolen, there's no way he could get in trouble. However, if he knew he was buying stolen property, then he could get arrested. :eek:

why in the hell would you do that?? he's been selling chinese knock off phones. i bought an "iphone" on ebay for $300, received a fake chinese knock off, and it took about 3 months to get my money back while paypal was researching my claim. ultimately the seller was banned from ebay. bad move...

Well played... haha. Excellent point. No one should be trying to buy from that seller, no matter what the outcome of this thread is...

Get Apple refurb people-- I have a 2007 Blackbook refurb still running strong from Apple Refurb (well, I sold it to a friend to get the alu 2.4 MB). The new MB and MBP are on there now.
