holy crap, I just logged back into this thread and good to see people are talking about this issue!

I have not missed my Apple Watch at all, happy to be free of the pain + un-need wrist distractions.

The Apple watch can cause pain. If you can wear a regular watch without issues and have pain while wearing the Apple watch, there is a simple test you can do. Try to wear the Apple watch while it's off. This way, you'll know if it's the watch material/shape/weight that is affecting you or if you experience pain because of the electronic activity of the watch.

I can wear a regular watch without problems. I can also wear an Apple watch all day long if it's off. I feel deep pain in my wrist if I wear the Apple watch turned on for an hour. Apple is aware that this is a possibility for some people. They ask me to report in details my situation when I ask to return the watch.

Note that I can't wear bluetooth headphones either, I get a migraine after wearing them for an hour or less.

Some people are able to feel the mind control beams that the watch produces via its green lights. These are used by Apple to modify your DNA to introduce thoughts about love for Apple and their products. This leads to annual purchases of new iPhones, iPads and accessories. Somethings you will even pick up a mid year refresh device because it has a new colour option.

Anyhoo, just a thought.

You should test whether this is in your head or not.
Let someone put on the watch 10 times without you knowing whether it is turned on or off. Read, watch tv, or whatever while keeping your AW covered for an hour and see if you get any results either supporting or falsifying your case.

I for one am very curious for the results.

Why? I had a problem and I don't have it anymore.

Electomagnetic hypersensitivity is a studied phenomenon. The fact that a definitive cause has not been established yet doesn't mean that the issue does not exist. There is an hypothesis that some symptoms could be the result of the activation of voltage-gated calcium channels, causing an increase in oxidative stress. I'm confident that the studies being conducted will have more interesting results than what I can test myself.

Why? As I stated, to test whether it’s all in you’re head. Your mind is powerful, you should eliminate your mind from tricking you.

Edit: I’m not insinuating anything, merely trying to help.

Rereading you initial post, I now see that you were simply offering help. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

I didn’t do the test you specifically mention. I did several tests for many weeks, I really loved my Apple watch. Between tests, I had to wait for several days for the pain to completely go away (it’s a deep burning feeling, not something that is tolerable). I tried wearing it on the inside, on my other arm. It always ended up causing me pain when the watch was on. It was also much more pronounced pain on my left arm.

I had this kind of issue with my s3,I ended up making something, cloth, to keep the watch from direct contact of my skin. I got the s5 Ellen it came out and have worn it normal. I do have metal allergies. Awhile back my wrist started aching with the s5. The heartrate sensor was not turning off. So I went into settings and turned it off. No more problems. But I have been having issues with my watch for a few months. When I had to pair my watch to my new iPhone, I left heart rate on, and it’s been ok. But the sensor has not been constantly on. But alas, last night it acted wonky with charging, fully charged this morning than died about 1200. I think it’s time to replace it.

I like AW but most of the times it stings my wrist for some unknown reasons, contacted Apple they said it could be the band but idk.. its a good device and helps me during my work hours so I still wear it :/

It seems 44 really is the best boundary for a larger version... Apple guys go for "bigger the better", just take it for granted...

I wore an Apple Watch for three nights (only at night) to monitor my heart rate after a Covid booster started causing me a lot of trouble when I tried to sleep and eventually sent me to the ER. The first night I noticed some pain in my wrist. By the third night I had to take the Apple Watch off and never wore it again. That was back in December of 2021. I visited my doctor again this weekend because that wrist has been so bad it's often hard to use. Doctors have found no other reason for the pain and no physical issues. The, only, possible cause at this point is the Apple Watch.

There are a very large number of people reporting the same issue.

I've filed a letter with California's Attorney General. A friend gave me this link about wireless health issues...
Environmental Health Trust
Wow thanks for the update and good luck. I also never wore one again.

Curious if anybody else on here has had wrist pain while wearing their Apple Watch?

I just sold my Apple Watch series 4 cellular due to very strange pain. It started a few weeks ago, just putting the watch on, even if laying down with little to no pressure, was causing me a lot of pain around my wrist and into my hand. At first I thought it might be pushing on a nerve in the wrist but after noticing similar pain just laying down without as much full pressure on the wrist, I'm now wondering if it might have to do with some of the frequencies being emitted from the device (not sure if this is scientifically sound...).

All of which makes me wonder, if in a year or two apple is about to be slammed with some epic class action lawsuits for their health device causing physical harm to people.

Of note I had three apple watches in total over the past 3 years and the pain began a few weeks ago. removing the watch causes the pain the slightly linger for a few hours then is completely gone.

thoughts? anyone else?
Maybe you have a cyst in the area is affected by the pressure?

The only issues I have is an itchy wrist after about 5-6 days from sweating.

Usually it smells bad and I just pop off my band and wash it with a bit of soap, and all is good after. Swimming laps usually keeps the problem away too, the chlorine fixes the funk.

Honestly, this doesn't sound like a class actionable issue, but you do you. If you take it off and everything goes back to normal I doubt you have suffered permanent damage which would be the bar for a lawsuit in the first place.

No problem here since original watch. You have to do what is best for you, majority here say no problem, but that is not going to help you. You might have an allergy to some type of base metal. My wife could only wear 24c gold jewelry, everything else reacted with her skin.

Yeah I fully recovered, but did you read the guy right before your post lol

good point, im going to test another watch and report back. I have a sense it's a combination issue where the Apple Watch specifically is exasperating this issue (and not just any watch).
I think that’s exacerbating.

Definitely visit a lawyer straight away and tell them that a watch made your wrist hurt.
