You can uninstall Apple Music, same as IE or edge. (actually I'm not sure you can uninstall edge)

Android includes google music and youtube. How is that different? Should they include apple music in their OS?
Should an iPhone really include a dozen different music services pre-installed?
Should all smart tv's include Sonys playstation tv service?
Should direct tv boxes also include dish network?

Not every item should include everything that every competitor offers.
Add Google if you like because the key is all about creating suggestive selling. And wrt the Apple Music app, it's a joke on Android. I tried it and I can't even stream music that I purchased.

Wait, but I thought the narrative these days and as that Apple's services are a sign of it's rapid decline and imminent failure??!
It’s a sad sign of the times. Seems the mood towards Apple is getting increasingly cynical of late.

But it’s all right. The critics will learn. They will all learn.

Oh they don't have all the same music as each other. But apple does have, in total, more than spotify. That's just a fact. Millions more songs.

I know but doesn’t mean anything when the songs I want to listen to aren’t there.

There’s still so many control functions in Apple Music that irk me to no end!
If you select a song within your playlist you can skip to the next song but not skip back to a previous song before the one selected to play originally.

When I play a playlist. I make big ones. So it’d be nice to scroll up and not only select what’s next but be able to select a previously played song. Why do I have to exit out of the playlist and search the playlist I’m currently playing to re play a song that played 5 songs ago?
I mean to this day that hasn’t been fixed. I don’t understand. How dumb is that.
Do people that work on Apple Music actually use it?!

That you want to do that seems odd to me. Why would you start a song playing in a playlist and then go to a previous song in that playlist that you haven’t played yet? Why not just select the previous song to begin with? I wouldn’t have expected to go back before a song I’ve selected.
That’s not even something I would ever consider. Maybe it’s not part of Apple Music because no one else considered it either.
Or perhaps I don’t quite understand what you’re saying.
You can always skip back and forth amongst everything you’ve been playing.

Also, there are third party Apple Music apps if you dislike the Apple Music interface. I am try out Soor, and I like that it basically collapses all my music options into one page.

Soor ▹ by Tanmay Sonawane https://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/soor/id1439731526?mt=8

In the end, Apple Music wins for me due to its close integration with the rest of the Apple ecosystem.

What you are trying to say actually is that Apple Music is bad outside the Apple ecosystem.

People into serious stuff like engineering or finance need the professional OS, aka Windows. Spotify is way better when it comes to multi-platform use.

Also, anywhere else in the world, the iOs market share is much lower than Android’s. That’s why Apple’s services are only popular in the US.

It's $12.99 in Canada....not nearly as many magazines as in the USA...dumping at the end of free trial

Without being *******s, others have replied with the following information.

"Apple Music includes iTunes Match. I looked it up because I had both and discovered I was double purchasing."

Apple Music has music uploading feature from day one. Whether the feature is moved or is copied from iTunes Match is irrelevant. You said this is not Apple Music feature so you’re wrong and yes I checked my subscription on my account regularly and I have never paid for iTunes Match.

It’s easy to test. Cancel your iTunes Match. Subscribe to Apple Music and you’ll see you can upload any CD you like.

My old college email still works and so I get Apple Music at student discount price. Still has a few bugs too, some different (yet largely same) content than Amazon/Spotify, but still great selection and the interface is slowly getting better. I don't know if Spotify has this feature, but I love being able to search by lyrics.

Just signed up for premium with Hulu and loving it for $9.99
Only thing it lacks is multiple profiles as Hulu and Netflix have.

Does Apple Music support multiple profiles?

iPhone, yes. Bombarded, it’s the first app I delete on all my iOS devices.

You should leaves it there to see if Apple Music bombarded you with ads like someone you quoted, falsely, claimed. Not sure why we need such a fabrication. Apple Music is not for everyone, just like Spotify.

Does anyone else miss rdio? Amazing UI, amazing recommendations. I was hoping one of these other services would eventually step up their game at some point, but even the best ones are just a solid B- and nothing more.

The Discovery and Community Features of Apple Music are worse than Spotify‘s, so is their Android App. I don‘t get it.

Competition is good. If Apple is catching up or the other way around.

I’m fortunate to have access to both services (my partner had student Spotify) so I see the benefit of both.
Which do you prefer personally?

Oh man. Rip for sure. Rdio was the best. Absolutely loved it

I use Apple Music because as an artist I upload my music there and I want to check the quality of my songs. But I have to say that the interface on the Iphone is poorly designed, could be easily improved with common sense, why don't they put a bunch of good coders on it during 6 months to make something great ! The radio section is the worst, a big bazar and navigation is a mess. And integration with Itunes has a good taste of the early glory days in term of look..

I suspect the higher Apple Music market share is due to the stronger presence of Apple hardware in the US.

When products like the Apple TV, HomePod and Apple Watch can only stream from Apple Music, that’s a very strong incentive there to pick said service over the competition.

Apple Music can also be cheaper, especially if you pick the $99 a year option and pay using discounted iTunes cards.

It would also explain why Spotify is getting increasing desperate, to the point of wanting to sue Apple at this juncture. They still aren’t turning a profit, and Apple is effectively monopolising the most lucrative markets and customers, and it’s clearly affecting Spotify’s bottom line.

Don't care what anyone says...When iPhones come with Apple Music preloaded, and the Music app/iTunes bombards you with Apple Music ads, it isn't a level playing ground.

Even diehard Apple fans shouldn't be happy - fair competition is good for consumers.

Edit: For those saying they don't recall seeing the pop-ups, you can Google iOS Apple Music pop-ups/ads to see websites/forum posts about it and turning off Apple Music in general.

Yes it isn’t and that’s good for Apple. If Spotify want‘s a level playing ground they can develop their own Phone and OS and application market place. Until then they might as well stop complaining.

You have to look at it this way. One... Spotify has a free tier and a paid tier, Apple only has a paid tier. So it doesn't at all mean people prefer it over Spotify. Apple has 28 million and Spotify has 26 Million. Spotify also probably has a bazillion free subscribers. Two...Apple Music is preinstalled on every iPhone so people naturally will go with what is available, Spotify you have to go find it. Three... How many of these "Subscribers" aren't just trial users?

Love Apple Music tried them all and I always come back to it for the most music and best sound quality. Also there is a pretty good working web player now that is always improving I use when iTunes acts up. There Android app is updated and is much more stable then in the past.

As for Spotify it's so overrated. Sound quality stinks and they are missing many albums.
You know you can adjust the sound quality on spotify right? There is the normal but it allows two higher options.

Says it but lists no objective reasons.
I've used Google play music, Apple music and Spotify, they all have thier good and bad points but Spotify is by far the best of the 3, the music selection is more varied, the algorithms to find music I like is better and the ui is easier to navigate. Not to say Apple music is bad but Spotify is the winner for me. I do love the lyrics on apple music though!!!

Biggest? You know that China and India has 4 times more population than US? US-centrism will kill such forums...
Population is a meaningless metric if there’s no causality to buying power and habits, which is the case here.

If the app supports airplay, and most do, then they can stream on those devices. Including Spotify.

It's a music service, not a tv service like Hulu and Netflix. Why does it need profiles?

Your source for this info? MS Excel? Lol
Zoe Keating for example publishes her earnings quite openly, just because someone didn't fool you with a infographic doesn't mean the numbers have to be wrong...
