good point.
hopefully it was Starbuck in action.

Yup, any hunches so far?

I'm partial about Koodauw, his postings do only confuse the cititzens and make way for good set-ups by the Cylons.
On the other hand it seems suicidal for a Cylon to play the agent provocateur like this from the very beginning. Hiding in plain sight maybe? I'm still partial, but since I was really wrong about woodNUFC, I'll resent voting for now and will wait for some good opinions..

Also the only, and making only remotely sense imho, possibility could have been that Koodauw is #12. So lynching him is somewhat dangerous. But since he played this way from the very beginning there was no way he could have known the other Cylons so would have been kinda stupid. Don't think a Seer would work that bold either.

It's unfortunate that not even the Starbuck knows if they succeeded. We still have no good info.

Forgive my ignorance as I haven't played many WW games, but wouldn't Starbuck at minimum know some people that are not cylons? If she protects a cylon she dies. So whoever she has protected is not a cylon. Unless of course she was Comeagain? and he protected a cylon the first night.

It seems likely that the starbuck would protect himself/herself for that very reason.

good point as well! my head hurts..

True, but Starbuck cannot protect the same person two nights in a row. Protecting yourself the first night only buys you a guaranteed vote the next day, with no information. Not that it's really better the other way I don't think. Either night 1 or night 2 you have a random chance of death as Starbuck. Regardless, if Starbuck is still alive, she knows at least one person that is not a cylon.

Yeah, it's a little complicated. They can't out themselves because it's possible #12 is activated rather than them who were attacked. However, if it is he/she that was attacked, it seems obvious they would be the target again tonight because they are the only player guaranteed not to be protected tonight. The cylons really have the advantage after last night.

Yes, as the game goes on it behooves the starbuck to broadcast who they are going to protect in case they die, as the odds of landing on a cylon increase. That way we know who to kill if that person dies. However, cylons can also bluff at that, but I think they'd be called out if they starbuck was still alive. However, the cylons would potentially know that if someone dies and it wasn't their choice (starbuck protected them). That's where undertaker/apollo comes in.

on night one, the most logical starbuck move would be self-protection, i doubt it was comeagain.
on night 2, s/he could have taken an educated risk based on what transpired in the game. in that case whoever was protected is not a bad cylon. if she didn't protect anyone, or protected herself on night 2, than cylons found 12 and starbuck know that for sure.

Have to consider that the special missed their action 1st night too. Did specials have a deadline?

Starbuck doesn't know whether the cylons attacked him/her or found #12 if the starbuck did indeed protect him/herself. All we know is that the cylons don't have a choice to not kill.

Back to the basics, am I right in thinking that Koodauw is the only one acting suspicious (besides some awfully quiet ones) but is quite unlikely to be a baddie?

qhy is he suspicious?

Distracting without purpose? I'd like to vote for some rather silent companions, i.e. Pluto but I have no idea really.

edit: wait, since ravenvii is running the game, isn't QoS supposed to be a threat?! :D

I could go either way on Koodauw. Either he's a citizen and therefore genuinely has no info so he's just blindly guessing, or he's a bad guy and stirring the pot in hopes we'll think he's a citizen. I'd be surprised if he was a good guy.

Bad guys usually aren't that vocal at the beginning of a game, Don't Panic and myself being exceptions based on history.

The problem I have when someone gets framed is I tend to overthink it. On the one hand, occam's razor, on the other, the whole point is to confuse. That said, I've found that most people don't have the stones to play it the way I'm thinking Koodauw just did.

I'm leaning toward voting for him, but admittedly it's not an overpowering feeling. Also I'm on PDT time, so you won't see me before nowish in the mornings.

Well, that'll be a good reason to play it that way actually. I just don't see the benefit if he's one of the good guys, but maybe you can give me a hint since Koodauw won't. Rick played some time ago a similar game (I'm assuming here) with Moyank accusing her out of the blue every single time, may be a viable approach long term for one's own game, but it doesn't help a bit imho. But I'm still learning.

@QoS : occam's razor? :cool:

Being outspoken while the seer is probably still around generally isn't a good idea. I did so in a game a long time ago because I was the goth and got random attention early on. The seer scanned me and I only escaped lynching for one round because the seer didn't come out with their identity right away to back their claim.

edit: I was wrong. The seer did come out and they lynched him for it because they were scared he was infected: forums.macrumors.com/threads/1002756/
