Hot seat? Sounds good to me: jav6454

Lest anybody think my infrequent posts have anything to do with "laying low," it's because my employer (who will only be my employer for the remainder of the week) has recently blocked message boards from being accessible through our computers. Strangely, I can use the wifi on my iPad, go figure. *shrug*

I'm sticking with Koodauw, the only reason being that I suspected him in the first round, and nothing has really changed since then - nobody has said or done anything to look any more suspicious.

Technical question out of curiousity: in case I would switch to someone without any vot atm, would Moyank lead again because she reached one vote first or jav because he got already two at some point?

All people only have 1 vote right now.

Nah, he's right: I switched to jav to speed it up a bit...hopefully

You know... based on my prior assertion that I think Koodauw is either a normal citizen or a baddie, I'll change my vote to Koodauw. While normal citizens are cool, I'd hate to accidentally lynch somebody useful. Koodauw is the only one I feel we have useful (but incredibly sparse) info on. Hopefully he's a cylon but if not, I'm pretty sure he's just a normal citizen, which while bad to kill, is better to kill that a good player with a role IMO.

I can be talked out of the vote as the 'evidence' is pretty thin, but it's all I've got sooooooooo.

jav had two. One from Don't Panic and one from twietee at the time of my post.

I would say Moyank, otherwise if Moyank was a cylon, Moyank could bump somebody to 2, then change her vote to put them back to one but at the lead over her. So IMO whomever hits a vote level first, stays as the first person to hit that level unless they get taken down from that level.

I'd say a special would come out at some point, but it's true so far that it'd be probably better to lynch a citizen than to out a special. Even better to lynch a Cylon though, which I don't think Koodauw is just as well.

Never really addressed before, but here's my interpretation:

If a player gains a lead in voting, then drops back to being equal to others, the player retains the lead.

I missed DP's vote. Thanks.

Hmm, I've always run it the opposite way. The first to whatever the highest vote count is is the one to be lynched. Seems minor in difference, but I suppose it could mean the difference for someone who convinces someone else to vote for a third party, albeit however briefly.

@QoS : occam's razor? :cool:

Yes, Occam's Razor is very, very cool........

That was a FUN game. I died early but it was a hoot to defend myself like that and see the seer basically sabotage the whole game on the account of me being the goth. That was the height of the WW games when we could get 25 people in one game. Looking back, it was 3 years ago. :eek:

Reading this, and mulling it over, I realise :)eek:) that my first WW game was actually over two years ago. Gosh. Two years......wow.

Earlier today, I checked in, and found one, at most two further posts. Then, I head out for a working dinner for a few hours, and return to find a veritable flurry of activity.

So, no killing occurred last night. That is a positive, at least, but begs questions as to what happened.

We know that the Cylons had to try to kill someone, irrespective of anything else; so, an attempt at murder took place. That nobody died can have resulted from one of three things:

1. Starbuck protected him/herself (and was the target);

2. Starbuck protected a human who was the target;

or,

3. The Cylons tried to kill No 12 (and no, now that I look around vaguely for it, I realise that I have no idea of where to find the 'hashtag' symbol on the keyboard of my MBA) and instead, found him or her, meaning he or she is now recruited to their ranks.

For now, I have no idea of where to cast a vote, although I wonder whether Koodauw is really quite as disingenuous as he appears.

My instincts are to take a look at those who are less visible; it is too easy (as an onlooker), to aim at those who post prolifically, merely because they are more visible.

Likewise, it is quite an achievement to maintain a steady output of calm posting activity - especially activity which does not contradict earlier online utterances - when one is a member of the plotting, planning and killing groups. Steady nerves, and cool prose are called for.......not to mention good tactical sense, too. Not an easy combination to pull off effortlessly.......

Recalling earlier incarnations, jav slipped a fatal back-stabbing blade between my vertebrae twice as a NW who was turned; he is owed for that, - he did it to me twice!! - but maybe not just yet.

Queen of Spades, I'll pass over for now; anyone who quotes Occam's Razor wins my boundless respect. Koodauw is too obvious.......and too easy, at least at the moment. Twietee has died early too often, thus, let us see how survival for another rotation of the planet works for him....

Hm; this is not carved in stone and may be yet subject to further amendment; nonetheless, for now, I'll bold the name of the good Moyank24, and wait to see what transpires.

Knowing our history as well as the quick axe on me typically, I just want to say I've never seen Moyank24 use the no posting strategy as a bad guy. It's not her style, and I know this because we share that sentiment that it's incredibly lame (also arguably not effective, as evidenced by this thread and the past few games). It's come up in a few games before, so I thought I'd throw that out there.

I'm going with twietee for now.

Fair enough, point taken re degrees of activity. As may be recalled, I'm not an especial enthusiast for the 'mute' approach, either, and try to stay in touch.

However, re Moyank, when she is on the side of good, she is formidable, and an incredible and invaluable comrade. Unfortunately, when she is on the side of the evil-doers, she is, at least, equally formidable.

For now, I am looking at those who have not been especially visible, but also at those with a history of........low cunning and a deft hand with a blade.

By the way, thank you, DP, I love the 'linky' link - not least because it saves me from having to do a tally and post running totals.

For now, I'll stay with Moyank, but, as I observed above, this is not cast in stone and I am open to persuasion on the matter.

That's fine, I'm just throwing it out there so we can make an informed decision about who we lynch. I know that about her play style generally, beyond that I'm not sure.

She also gets very quiet when given a role she doesn't like. I think it's more likely though that she isn't posting since it's the start of the game.

For now, I'm voting for Sythas.

Ever seen it when someone is always justifying their votes and vote changes and then turns out to be a Cylon? I have.

Well, Koodauw, u got some new infos for us? Until then, I'm going with Moyank24

I change to Koodauw because a) Moyank was a pure placeholder, b) not convinced about the Sythas bandwagon and c) because a little pressure may help Koodauw to explain himself...cool reasoning here, eh?

mostly agree wit chrmjenkins about Koodauw, although he still remains on my blacklist. And I actually also agree about woodNUFC being suspicious, although his post after chrmjenkins voted for him is intriguing.

Reasons to change vote second time:

a) woodNUFC gave a third vote for Sythas while everybody else had at maximum only one and worded it like he would've been only the second #silentbandwagoning

b)I absolutely hate the thought being fooled by the Cylons re Koodauw, which appears to be most likely be a set-up. I got off'd for strange/kryptic postings before many times while being innocent, too.

And strangely, I do agree with Koodauw, silentPanda's cuteness is killing me! Too sweet for my liking!

Could follow you with Moyank. I go with Plutonius myself for the moment, posted only twice since the game actually begun.

Hot seat? Sounds good to me: jav6454

Or when asked to explain said theory offers no meaningful answer?

Distracting without purpose? I'd like to vote for some rather silent companions, i.e. Pluto but I have no idea really.

Man, apparently I used to have a lot of time on my hands!!

I should have said this at the beginning, but I've been working at a client site and I have absolutely no access to the internet :eek: there. So I can't post until I get home and the kiddos go to sleep! I started these games when the kiddos slept a lot more and I was working from home.

And as the Queen said, I've never used a strategy of silence when I've been a bad guy because of how completely against my playing style it was. And it's super lame and I'm awesome, so I don't do lame things. :D Honestly, I just don't have as much time during the day as I used to.

I'm just a plain old citizen. Awesome, but plain.

That said, I'm going with Koodauw. He's hidden in plain sight before and I believe it's worked for him. I do think he jumped the gun unintentionally with the vote, but I found it super weird that he didn't at least try to offer an explanation.
