Dead sick of being a WW. I just checked my logs and I've been 6 times in the last 9 games. :(

But for the record, I would never use silence as a strategy. I hate that play style and my feelings on that have been well documented. I really was away from the internet. Good luck, all, and sorry I was off partying fellow wolves.

Fair enough. I had a run myself a few years ago where whatever random system was used to allocate roles threw up my name for several consecutive games. Bad times, bad times.

My end was Epic, I fight again 2 werewolfs very hungry, but just before they bit me to be one of them, I took my life with an ancient silver knife

Lovely post, and sorry to see you go mate. You did very well, selecting and identifying QoS as a WW.

For now, I must admit that I am somewhat suspicious of Plutonius, and I have harboured suspicions of rick since the outset.

For now, I'll go with Plutonius, but am open to persuasion should a compelling argument present itself.

oh SS, i love when im on women's minds...in anyway :D

there seems to be alot of consensus building about plutonius.

since my vote for intel is not going anywhere, i will change it soon to one of the two leading candidates for hanging, as we have to reach a decision one way or another (such is the nature of majority lock).
but i would like to hear a comment from pluto and rick first. both of them have made somewhat "suspicious" moves, although nothing particularly damning.

rick initially voted for SS in the last round,
while plutonius was campaigning against sythas earlier on, didn't vote for QoS and then was quick to jump on the rick wagon today.
again, nothing particular substantial in either case, but still something.

suspicious? please. nobody can give a good reason on voting me as a wolf. i havent played any different, and have given defense for every accusation.

i voted for SS, due to her voting for me. nothing more, nothing less.

i really think we need to start looking at the ones who are just sitting in the gallows, and starting bandwagons to help themselves.

Intell could also be one of "them" based on the same rationale in my previous post - he didn't vote at all in the last round. I'm just not convinced about Plutonius.

Although if he gets lynched I'll almost surely be done for based on my support for him in this post.

i agree with you.
but since intel only has 1 vote and we have to reach some majority, it makes sense that i go to one of the two people with most votes right now.
i could lock in plutonius with my vote but i am a bit hesitant because the 'evidence' on him is quite thin (as is on everyone) and i would like him to have the chance to speak.
everyone except SS is a suspect at the moment, and without the seer it will be tricky.

EDIT: as far as the last part, if plutonius gets lynched and he is a wolf, people who didn't vote for him will get focussed on, if he is a villager, it will be who voted him hanged who gets the attention. it is just part of how the game works.

I see he didn't vote in the last round, either. I guess I overlooked it because the spreadsheet was blank next to his name for Day 2.

No vote for now. Let's hear what he has to say.

What can I say :D.

I'm a villager (I'll never say if I'm a special or not) but, everyone claims to be a villager.

I voted for Sythas because, in a choice between Sythas and Twietee, I would rather keep Twietee. I also didn't believe Sythas claim that he was a special. I turned out to be wrong but, next game I would do the same thing because I'll never believe Sythas based on past games.

I was out of town during the long weekend. which limited posting. I checked on the game a couple times but all as I saw were a bunch of "no votes". I checked on the game Tuesday morning and saw little change except that people were waiting for Sythas scan results. When I checked later in the day, I saw that Sythas reveal himself as the seer and QoS was a WW.

I would also like to go on record as stating that I hate this game having no deadline.

Eh, as i should have expected, not much was added by the posts of rick and plutonius, in the sense they both said predictable thing that sound, and very possibly are, true.
I will hold on my Intel vote a little longer and than decide if and how to change my vote.

meanwhile i'd say i concur with plutonius and I also personally prefer well-defined deadlines, possibly short, as they keep the pace up and add some interesting strategic options (last minutes blitzes, for example).
that said i also understand ravenvii reasons (which he always had) and it is his prerogative to decide the format

I'm torn, too.

However, a very old, tried and tested WW ploy is to cast an inconsequential vote, and post little in order to stay under the radar, and it often works. Moreover, I appreciate that a major US holiday occurred in the middle of all of this.

Nevertheless, I remain suspicious of rick, as I have been from the outset. Moreover, the fact that Plutonius didn't even register a no-vote on day 2 does concern me slightly. Likewise, Intell registering a 'no-vote' on day 2 strikes me as a bit of a cop out as well.

I'm open to persuasion, but I'd like to hear some reasoned argument.

SS, you must be in heaven, im still on your mind!

Heaven, no, that is not how I would describe my current location, in mind, or in space, or in a place known or unknown, or even on earth, just now. Heaven it is not. Far, far from it.

But yes, you are on my mind; it is just that the thoughts are not celestial ones. Rather, I am ruminating on various possibilities, and you are but one of them. A relatively large one, admittedly, but still one, among a few.

still lost in the caucasus?
isn't it time you buy a nice, old-fashioned cuneiform map? ;)

Funny you should mention cuneiform maps; and yes, that is exactly the sort of thing I'd happily spend a silly amount of money on - I love old maps. Anyway, I have just been reading a fascinating article on the Maya language and how current scholarship is helping to decipher their ancient script.

Eh, not lost, no, and not, at the moment, in the Caucasus (much though I like the region and well though I know it).

My vote on day two was mostly because of me having to do family based things leaving little time for other stuff such as this.

Ok, since no one seems to have any intention of making any move, i will or we will remain stuck forever in this limbo (speaking of which, anyone read inferno yet? Scepticalscribe?)

Sorry Plutonius.

Final tally for the day

Plutonius : 5 (intell, rick, woodNufc, scepticalscribe, dontpanic)
Rick: 1 (plutonius)
No-vote: 1 (tomorrow)

Did not vote: moyank

It's been ~24 hours since the day begun. Deadlines tend to be 24-48 hours. Tell me again why you guys hate the no-deadline style of play?

[The previous night]

Queen of Spades watched as the two werewolves, one with an arrow sticking out of its left leg, stared each other down in the forest clearing.

She is a loner. Packs are not her thing. So Queen of Spades remained hidden, unknown to the other wolves.

As the wolf with the arrow stuck in its leg begun to gain dominance, Queen of Spades silently backed away. She knew who the dominant wolf is. No need to heighten the chances of them catching her scent.

She caught the scent of a lone man wandering the forest accompanying a strong scent of alcohol.

She won't eat this one, not yet. She will, however, implicate him as a werewolf. This should hopefully placate the village for a day or two.

***

[Present]

A scream drew out two villagers who rushed to the town clearing where the gallows sat, waiting for the next lynching.

The scream came from the forest, and the villagers dared not approach. As one readied his crossbow and slowly approached, a body flew out of the forest and landed in the middle of the clearing. It was Sythas, recognizable only because his face was left intact. The rest of his body was skeleton, blood and skin, nothing else.

As the growls faded, Plutonius walked out of the forest, dazed and wearing clothes that are torn. Torn as if he has transformed into something too much for the clothes.

"Halt!" the villager with the crossbow shouted.

"What?!" Plutonius shouted back, "I've got some mushrooms!"

As he held up a bag, a bolt flew into his forehead. He was dead instantly.

"Two werewolves down, one to go," the villager with the crossbow said, sneering.

"But... You killed an innocent villager!" the other villager shouted in shock.

"Lies. Look. The infernal thing will transform."

No transformation came.

The crossbow hit the ground, followed by its owner's knees. "I... this cannot be. Why is Plutonius in the forest at this time?! What am I supposed to think?!"

***

Plutonius has been "lynched" and is a villager.

It is now NIGHT. Deadline is 9 AM tomorrow.

As the villager with the crossbow from the previous night was being dragged to the gallows to be executed for murder, the villagers found another person hanging from the noose.

It was Scepticalscribe, her blood pooling below her feet. Chunks was chewed off her body. As the villagers slowly drew closer, it became clear that the noose was not the rope used by the hangman; it was her intestines.

As the villagers emptied their stomaches on the ground and cried in terror, it was clear that the crossbow-wielder will not be executed quite yet.

***

Scepticalscribe was wolf nibble. 7 remain, 4 is the majority.

tomorrow, ive looked back at the votes.

you voted for QOS after the fact, and picked on me.

I voted for QoS both before and as soon as she was outed by Sythas.

I voted for you based on the votes from Day 2 - I explained in one of my earlier posts.

I'm also the only one who spoke up for poor Plutonius. If anybody has any claim to being "clear." It's me.

For the record, I am not a werewolf, I'm a villager with no special role.

I'm going to check the updated spreadsheet before casting my vote this time around.
