Welcome to MacRumors' iPhone forum on WWDC 08. :)

I know it's going to be a busy day and I hope everyone is looking forward to the long-rumored news.

This is an open thread which I'm going to sticky for the day, for those who want to talk about the iPhone in a general sense and are itching to post.

Could I please ask two things:

1. That before anyone creates a new thread with what they think is breaking news, that they check first to see whether the same topic is in the MacRumors.com News Discussion forum.

2. That before anyone creates a new thread, that they also check to see whether anyone has already created a similar thread in this forum. You can use the forum's search function or have a look at least down the first page or two.

By doing this, we should hopefully avoid too much unnecessary thread closure and wastelanding, and keep as much interest and variety in the topics that we do have.

And most importantly, live coverage of the keynote will be here.

I'm going to go out on a limb and commit to saying that given all the information to hand, and an enormous amount of corroborating evidence, I'd guesstimate there's about a 50/50 chance. You can hold me to that.

I'd say better than 50/50 by the end of the week...
But I do know for sure that if it's available Monday, I'll be in line w/Visa card in hand to do the deed before dinner.

I REALLY hope the rumor about O2 offering a free upgrade, if you sign an additional 18 month contract are true.

If it is then....give me a pen, where do i sign?!!! ;)
 
i hope that it wil be released in Australia at the same time as USA etc.
that would be pretty good.
but i think we have to wait til the Apple Store opens in Sydney...

adamerr - you might want to check out that patent on the gps threads ;)
How many companies have to nearly dampen down expectations of their customers and peers, rather than trying to big up themselves? Can't wait? No - can, and enjoying it (an the 160 odd hour plus wait for it to be in our hands, possibly.)

Ohhhhh, why must you hurt me so?!

I think your lot will have a good chance this year though. But Spain are my team in this tournament that's who I'm gunning for anyway!
 
God damn it stop complaining about when it's going to come out. All I know is, I may not get one THIS YEAR. Meanwhile you guys are complaining about waiting a few weeks.

Meanwhile I have about 6 1/2 hours to sleep - It starts at 6am here...

ITS THE EXACT SAME HERE. Plus there are slim chances on my dad letting me get one.

It starts at 2 AM here

Sorry mate... just some genuine football supporter rivalry... we've endured our hurts trough the years as well, though we probably should combine our shared hate for the friggin' germans... did you place a bet at the bookmakers on spain? You could be right on that, although i give the Portugese more chance. But you'll probably want to change your opinion after tonight anyway, as the Dutch are going to kick some Italian butt.

So back to the iphone... i really can't wait till the keynote... the product has been anounced for just about every European country (including some really poor/corrupt former Soviet countries), *BUT* the netherlands... i really need a new phone by now, i'll get real mad if it wouldn't be anounced for the netherlands soon...

Jeez, thats harsh timing. At least you'll be able to stream it from Apple when you wake up :D

No problemz. The caps made me look like some OVERLY ANGRY RETARD WHO NEEDS TO COMPETE WITH EVERYONE. so sorry about that.

Ya the timing really sucks...Won't get a chance to watch stream before school but will be able to check out macrumors for a lil. How will I think at school?
