The stores are down, i guess we'll definately be getting something. Most likely MacPros and updates to all the Mac line with core 2 processors. 28 minutes and counting

all the times i've seen the store down (5 times), it has been updated within an hour...

well there have been times when it hasn't been exactly an hour. regardless you won't see anything new until it has been unveiled by jobs.

isn't frequency just the strength of the signal? so i assume that they need a very powerful signal to reach all the attendees at the conference.

Using one router/access point at the conference would be foolish. The range of 54Mbps is about 400-600 feet, and can be extended thru range extenders and access points. This reduces the load on the router, allowing greater bandwidth to the attendees at the conference.

Anyone got any ideas as to what the MacPro will look like?

If it's half as sexy as a G5 PM, I will sell my gran to get one.

Hopefully a little less heavy. I can't take my G5 tower anywhere (comfortably).

Thanks for the explanation.

The stores won't come back up until after the keynote.

How d'you know? Perhaps they will feed us spoon by spoon by first revealing a little bit, and then some more, then a bit more, then a slight more...:D

I'm going to fix my bed head before class, so don't go posting three pages while I'm gone, ok?

My PowerBook is charging so I can continue this through class...so help me out a little bit, ok?

Thanks, you're the best! :D

erm....no

No because they can't do that. When they update the store they need to update everything all at once. It would take too much time to release new products one by one. You will see everything unveiled at the keynote after it has ended.

I'm basing this on every other keynote I've seen, and I highly doubt Apple's web team, in real time, are going to piece by piece update the website.

Do you have any idea how impossibly difficult that could get?

Updating a store bit by bit with hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people eagerly refreshing it? You'd have to take it offline to add each bit...

I was gonna say be patient, but that's just not gonna happen... I'm currently sat with my ear to a phone to BT but getting all excited about WWDC!! :D

I wouldn''t be surprised if moscone didnt have a/b/g networks running and then they rename the wireless network depending on whats happening there.

Knowing apple, all of these new products may be related and info on unreleased products may be revealed on the just released products.

That was hard to say.

BTW, Apple's countdown widget is one minute ahead of the MR Live countdown clock...
