Did you guys forget that ALL Intel Macs can also connect to 802.11a networks, which are 5.8GHz? I highly doubt there's some hidden pre-N hardware in the current Intel Macs.

Vista 2.0

This may have already been said, but surely Vista 2.0 and goodbye Vista, if the banners are real, would suggest that Leopard makes Vista obselete, i.e. it is not only a better operating system, but it natively runs Windows programmes better than Vista 1.0 so that there is no need for Windows

I was thinking the other day about how none of the Intel hardware have removable AirPort cards. They are all internal/onboard. Seems Apple may have secretly given us the goods without our knowing it. Clever.

The UK store went offline about 5pm the WWDC Keynote doesn't start until 6pm and if it does last for about 2 hours - surely the store won't be offline for over 3 hours?

no no no no no. they always shut down the stores earlier than usual. you won't see anything new on the site until after all new hardware at the keynote has been released. so perhaps an hour and a half.

THE HOLY GRAIL!!!!!!!

I've finally made it to the end of the thread....damnit new email...

Anyone got any ideas as to what the MacPro will look like?

If it's half as sexy as a G5 PM, I will sell my gran to get one.

802.11n is on the 2.4 GHz frequency

isn't frequency just the strength of the signal? so i assume that they need a very powerful signal to reach all the attendees at the conference.

Does anyone have some info on possible WiMax Intel chipsets?

No info but the 5.8GHz signal is most likely just good ol' 802.11a (the Airport Express card in the MacBook Pro can connect to 11a signals it's just not published).
