But that doesn't mean everyone isnt going nuts, because they are. This is worse than any build up to an Apple event i've ever remembered

i dunno if this has been cleared up in any other posts or whatever, but does anybody know if there will be a live quicktime video feed? i figured if steve is going to be demo-ing stuff in leopard, he'd want the hundreds of thousands of people to actually *see* it! anyway, just curious.

mr

There won't be a live VIDEO feed. Just the live TEXT feed supplied by MacRumors

There are actually 3 covered banners on the ground floor.

Whatever is or is not shown about Leopard/Macs, be sure to enjoy the spectacular howling from those who assume that nothing ELSE will ever emerge about Leopard/Macs. From those who assume that if it's not mentioned on THIS particular date, Apple is doomed and it's too late :D You heard it here first: any Macs that don't appear tomorrow will NEVER appear, and Leopard will have NOTHING except what is shown tomorrow ;) It's life or death... if any rumors turn out to be only rumors, the platform is dead :)

More pix of the same... in case anyone cares!
1) WWDC2006!!
2) the now infamous banners™
3) me, with the now infamous baners™
4) Nifty computer bags™ they are giving out
5) delicious gelato™ :p

Ok - I've been into Macs for a couple years now, so I don't have the history with the company of many of you do.

That said, it seems to me that with these ads or banners for Leopard, that it is closer to being released than we all might think. Has Apple promoted a product this way -- bashing M$ -- with out releasing the product soon after?

To me it just seems like real strong words to use if Leopard wont be out for a while, esp. if it will only be released around the time Vista will be next year.

Anyone know what I mean, or feel the same way?

They did they same thing when introducing Tiger...say things like "Redmond we have a problem" or "Introducing Longhorn"

I don't think you'll be seeing Leopard till end of this year to beginning of next year

Edit: Look at the pics above this post :)

Last WWDC Stevie said that Leopard would be announced at this WWDC - or at least demonstrated. My guess - late this year or early next it will be in stores.

Oh - and Powerbook G5s (dual core) tomorrow!!

I simply meant that, normally, people would be excited because there were covered banners. But this year, they were excited by a bunch of icons. ;)

I know -- I was specifically referring to the original photo of the icon-filled banner, which only showed two of the three banners.

Kingsly: I'll keep an eye out for you before the Keynote tomorrow. EDIT: Sorry -- just saw your other thread. Have fun visiting Cupertino!

I predict the Mac Pro, Xserve and a kick-ass preview of Leopard.

And I dobt any consumer items will be introduced (iPod, iTablet, iPhone) .. but they can surprise me if they want!

gosh! we're all like kiddies in a candy store. (oooh, and I love it!)

everyone thinks "this is the most anticipated ever!" - well, through as we all grapple and rip and tear at every little moral of rumor out there and pray that dear Santa (people still think it's 'Steve') Jobs will visit us, then, yeah, I guess it is. The fever before each WWDC and MWSF seems to feed on itself until *BAM* Steve struts on the stage at 10:00am Pacific Time. WOW! must sleep...must get to bed....must...get...slee......

I might just have to do a little "R & D" during the lunch hour here in St. Louie.;) :D

intel core 2 duo

I am buying an iMac very soon, and I just want a 64-bit intel core in it. Cmon merom!

IMHO, only Mac Pro and MacBook Pro will get the chance for Core 2s. Intel simply doesn't have the production, yet.

Do you have a particular need for 64 bit computing?

when...

Anybody have any idea when the video of the event will be posted based on the past? How quick do they get it online?

Probably about a couple hours after finish. The following evening at very latest.

Usually several hours after the keynote... and then there is the "mad rush" because everyone wants a piece of hat keynote video. Traffic will slow down after eastern coast and central U.S. past mid-night. So if you are on the western coast, stay up late after 9PM and enjoy the show w/ popcorns.:)

Dang. I am sooo totally completely insanely disappointed that I wont be there tomorrow...
I even went to the info booth and tried to sweet talk my way into some comp tickets to the keynote... oh well. There's always MWSF 2007.

If I didn’t have to work this would feel like xmas morning!!! :D If apple are saying these things about leopard they must be very very confident, as much as I love tiger I would love to see Vista smashed into the ground, and apple can do it!

Last week I was hoping for a few new things, now with a lot of potential promise from leopard I will be fine with leopard, the new pros... and maybe the iphone! LOL

<side note... does anyone know how to attach excitement to a post, I can just do pics? :p >

10am PST is 1am here. So it's really like christmas. So should I keep myself awake and take a peep at santa? or just wait for the good news tomorrow. Or bad news.

Maybe I'm reading to much into this... but did anyone else notice that Apple has all of their products on that big banner except for the full-size iPod and the Xserve? Could it be that the new iPod will certainly be released then, and that its banner is hidden?

Hmm, that is interesting. I hadn't thought of that...
