If Time Machine works like Snapshot technology on NetApp Filers, then it will have a smallish overhead on your HD, as the previous versions of the file will not all be saved, just the changed disk blocks. On NetApp you can configure it depending on how far back you want to go, but typically people dedicate about 15% of their hard disk space to it. Remember though that on a NetApp every piece of info is changable user data. The OS is normally on a different volume, so the percentage on OSX will be less than this.

The Apple Store is always down until the end of the keynote.....the fact it's still down doesn't neccesarily mean there are any new products.

HUH. But I m still not losing my hopes until the end of this keynote anyways

Most people want "simple". Apple (and it's developers) will cater to that. The "pro" realm will still exist, but on a more eclectic level. Whatever that means...

mid-tower

i have no idea if this has been brought up (and I'm not going to read 1000 posts), but with the entry Mac Pro priced at $2500 dollars, I think the long-rumored, long-awaited mid-tower (somewhat upgradeable headless iMac ~$1500) will be "one more thing."

just wanted to go on the record with that.

Edit: nope, guess I shouldn't buy lottery tickets.
