Shame the quality is low (for obvious streaming reasons) for the games section.

Combined with the videos over at apple makes Leopard look really interesting. Sum of all parts.

can someone create a mirror for the keynote and post on youtube or google video. THis isn't working for me .

If anyone's interested, i've solved the 'switching transports' problem by going into quicktime prefs and setting the transport to 'http' and the port to 7070!

Hard to watch with all the stream stuttering....
And, why doesn't it let me buffer the whole thing so it is smooth?

Update: Found a way to increase buffer size, much smoother.

iSight

I noticed Steve Job's Mac on stage had an iSight camera. Does that mean Apple will bring the external iSight camera back?

underwhelmed

Switched to macs in '03 when I bought the G4 Powerbook I'm typing on. Have a dual core iMac and iPods, etc. Love Apple. After watching them for several years I was somewhat underwhelmed by the keynote. Since it was mostly repeat of original Leopard preview with added look/dock/finder update, I have to wonder what is up at Apple. I think we are being sidetracked from something big coming, but I don't know what. Apple is good at throwing out a "I gotta have it now!" technology or gadget (iPod, iPhone, iMac, Tiger according to Steve's stats). I have to think touch screen functionality is the core thing missing from today's keynote - because the hardware isn't here yet. That will be the kicker and it will come in form of new iMacs and Cinema displays. iPhone screams of the "wow" factor. The next gen hardware will be killer I have to believe - not that Leopard isn't way cool or that we won't pony up for it right away as it sits. Just that I think the hype around Leopard has shrouded some other development they are working on (thus the delay). Way too dull of a presentation today for typical Apple. Just when we think they are dropping the ball a bit.... BAM - they'll kick it up a notch.

Was anyone else disappointed by the keynote? Yes it's great to hear about the features in Leopard but where were the computer updates? iMac? Mac Pro? Displays?

I was for one :(
Very un Apple Computer.
But I guess that's the new Apple Inc.

?????

.

So no new hardware???

Has hardware always released on the first day of Keynotes? ... come in the middle of the week? The week after?

I'm probably alone, but releasing the new MBP the week before seems to have taken the BIG BANG out of all of this.
