I do.

If course we COULD do that, but I prefer to watch the video and get it from Steve's mouth! Watching text scroll across the screen can't compare!

Oh, and good news:

Apple releases official "Keynotes" podcast

TUAW announced that Apple has put up an official keynote podcast... I just hope that they upload the video to the podcast at the same time as the stream! I would MUCH rather download it than watch the choppy stream!

True! Not everybody gets that..
anyway,

true again, but..... for me it takes like 5 hours to download the 800MB Keynote videos from iTunes :(
and I'm not 100% sure that there won't be any spoilers on iTunes Store..
ok, probably there won't, but still, waiting 5 hours is gonna make me wanna watch the choppy stream hahaha:D

ive subscribed for the keynote podcast, 800MB will prob take me 5 mins to download from iTunes, that's usually how long it takes for downloading movies from iTunes on my connection:)

I have never done spoiler free. Don't have the will power. But I always watch it afterwards...kind of like reading a book then watching the movie.

At least normally...if you try to watch it when it first goes up or even Monday night/Tuesday morning I'm positive it'll take way longer than that on Apple's part b/c their bandwith is going to be really clogged up.

I've done quite a few keynotes, some with miniscule spoilers, the latest ones without any spoilers.

But something we could really use in this thread is a person who can check the different channels and post the links and information (quality of video available, secondary sources for the video, etc.) without spoiling anything about the actual video. Because it has happened before that the video was available quite some time before the official e-mail and update were made here. So someone who can do this live for this thread would be great

I've watched the last few keynotes spoiler-free. I have trouble watching the streaming video on Apple.com, but I always manage to download it directly from Apple's servers. Hopefully they won't change anything on their video server.

Internet lockdown to begin in 3 hours and 45 minutes. :p :apple:

could you elaborate on that method?

How??? I've tried many methods with no success?

I watched the last keynote without any spoilers and it was much better (being "surprised") then knowing everything. I just hope Apple post the video very shortly after the keynote ends.

Take a look at the previous spoiler-free threads on MacRumors. I always post a direct download link after the keynote stream gets posted on Apple.com. I'll be here today to post the link.

I wanted to say thank you to MacRumors for helping provide this spoiler-free option. I've been waiting for quite some time for this keynote address and I'd rather wait a few hours more to watch it unfold on video.

I, too, am going to be locking down my internet and checking in a few times after 6p or so to the spoiler free page only.

I don't get it. Is there a live video stream of the keynote anywhere?

Nope.

Okay, almost time: time to leave your browser at this page, turn off mail and any other RSS service you may have, switch off your cellphone, shut off all televisions, radios, telegram machines, lock up the post pidgeons, send away the paper boys en lock all other people in the house in the basement.:D

Any ideas on the approximate time the video will be up? I've heard that it's 5pm EST (10pm London) - does anyone know otherwise? And please, please, please, nobody post in this thread what happens - please don't tell us! :(

I was just going to ask the same thing, anyone knows ? If I dont want it to be spoiled I really cant visit any of the site I frequent.

Voidness, that would be beyond greatly appreciated - that is how, as you've said, the last few keynotes have worked so well for me, someone was willing to keep checking the websites until a direct link was available and it would be posted here in the spoiler free comments for those of us that try to force ourselves to wait for the quicktime feed directly from Apple. I can't tell you how thankful we'd all be for that service again!

Now as was just said, we need to turn off our phones so our friends don't call and text us to ruin the whole experience!

I believe it's usually posted an hour or two after the keynote ends but one time it was four or five hours. Am I correct?

I think so. I can vary, as I recall the MWSF 2008 Keynote was up after about three hours, but it can take longer.

Oh well. Euro 2008 is on. Keep yourself occupied for the next four hours.
