Update: Direct video link: Click here (no spoilers)

Apple will kick off WWDC 2009 with a keynote address on June 8th, 2009. News sites across the web will cover every announcement in detail, while Apple's site will be updated with any new products announced.

Some readers prefer watching the keynote themselves without knowing the outcome. Unfortunately, there is no live video feed for the keynote. Instead, Apple will likely post a recorded QuickTime stream a few hours after the keynote ends.

For those individuals, we've posted this news story, which will be updated with the link to the Macworld Keynote once it becomes available from Apple. No other news stories or announcements will be displayed alongside this story.

You can also subscribe to our notification list which will send out an email when the keynote is posted online. The mailing list will only be used for notifications for these spoiler free announcements and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Notify me of Keynote Stream function CheckMultiple5(frm, name) { for (var i=0; i < frm.length; i++) { fldObj = frm.elements; fldId = fldObj.id; if (fldId) { var fieldnamecheck=fldObj.id.indexOf(name); if (fieldnamecheck != -1) { if (fldObj.checked) { return true; } } } } return false; } function CheckForm5(f) { if (f.email.value == "") { alert("Please enter your email address."); f.email.focus(); return false; } return true; };
Apple can take several hours to post the feed. The mailing list can also take up to a couple of hours to send out all the emails. Be patient. Or keep checking this page.

What a great idea. Although I am sure it will be hard to dodge all the news no matter what site I am on.

I always end up reading the live coverage because I can't resist, and then watching the video when I get home from work hours later. Despite knowing what's announced before watching the video, I always find watching the presentation a lot more compelling. Somehow still pics and text don't do the keynotes justice, especially when it's a Stevenote, which hopefully we'll have another of by the end of June. :)

I think I'm gonna skip this one. The secrecy on Apple's side isn't as good as it used to be and without Steve Jobs (no offense to Phil Schiller) it just isn't that entertaining any more to watch a Keynote.

However, I might see if I'm free to keep a look out for the elusive direct link.

There goes all Monday's productivity for everyone in this thread.

void you in to help find the link again? it would be greatly appreciated... and your right... im going to get absolutely NOTING done on Monday

ive done this to many times to have individual signatures so i just had to says spoiler free since and then the date i started

Aw the whole point of MacRumors is that it contains spoilers! :p

ya... i like the rumors and all but when it comes time to the event itself its fun to wait and see what they actually announce and how they announce it. the hows the big one cuz that people dont really know before hand.

I know what you mean. I'd watch the spoiler-free stream if:

a) Reading the text version, for me, didn't seem like a tradition :) and
b) I could stop myself from reading the text version.

Would be kinda nice to watch the video without knowing what happens though...

Thanks Arn for accommodating us again... I'll be waiting for the podcast of the event on Tuesday, but if it's not out by then (I'll be having people over to watch), I will use this stream.

The great part about waiting is that you have to avoid news sites all day Monday... it will be my most productive day ever! :D:p

ya... its tough but talking with the people in this forum about anything but apple helps a lot... i think its kinda fun :D

its the exact opposite for me cuz i stay on this forum all day refreshing it and talking with everyone... 0 productivity

Nice, thank you.

Unfortunately I'll be within the civilized world so avoiding any big news will be impossible :)

But I'll want to watch the video anyway.

I can't decide if I should wait and watch the video steam, or read the live text updates. What do you guys think? Worth the wait?

And roughly how long does it take for the video to be put up? I remember last time it seemed like it wasn't up until late that night.

EDIT: nvm, Twit Live is going a show live during the keynote. no way i'll miss that.
