This is my usual pattern. The announcements are always around 3am here due to the time zone. I usually can't sleep if there's an announcement anyway.

I open up as many as ten sites covering live open all at once, refreshing each over and over for just a couple more words at a time.

It's awesome when someone inside gets their mobile phone hooked up to a relay server so we can hear it live....

I take notes collating the key points of the announcement as it goes along. Formatting it into a ASCII monospaced table.

Maybe I'm too nerdy...

6pm here.. I tried so hard the past few times and never quite managed. It involves avoiding reading texts from a mate, checking Engadget, BBC, here.

I have to do the same thing every week for the football - avoid finding out the scores so I can watch the highlights without knowing what's going to happen.

Does anyone know how long it will be until they post the video as a podcast/downloadable version (as in guess based on previous times)? The only real time I will have to watch it is on board the train, where I'd have no internet. I'm not sure if I'll hold out if it's a real long while.

Voidness, was that you who got the link before the Apple site was updated last time?

ya void has been one of the many the past few times... someone beat him to it at MWSF09 but he got a close second... hes been a huge help... thanks void!

I work from 10-7 (EST) so I'll have to catch the keynote later that evening and hope no tells me what happened.

Umm...the bookmark doesn't work. Isn't it suppose to point to a place holder page or something?

I have to do a stupid science test at school before I get to go home and watch the keynote :(

Hey, at least your mind will be occupied for those few hours and there would be a lesser chance of spoilers coming your way.

Text updates @ MR, Engadget, and Giz. Usually MR runs the fastest. Engadget and Giz lag sometimes. Let's hope that everything stays clean tomorrow on all 3 sites...

Ugh! A guy I know is going to WWDC. I wanna go! (To bad I'm an ocean away :p )

Its already Monday here 9am. I cant wait until this kicks off :D

Every time, there seems to be someone who will make a comment like "Apple's stock is definitely going up today!" or "The keynote was sooo great! You're all going to be blown away!".

Please don't post comments like that if you find out the news. I even consider stuff like that spoilers. :)

ive done this to many times to have individual signatures so i just had to says spoiler free since and then the date i started

You inspired me to change my siggy! I even added "Original Spoiler Free Veteran" because I was the first one to ask for it (link), not that I am bragging or anything... =: >

agreed... please dont ruin this for us... thanks :)

apart from the before mentioned comments about more obscure spoilers like comments on Apple stock, I'd like to add comments about the number of announcements to the blacklist for this thread. I know the "one more thing" surprise is a bit out of date, but it can still happen

Yeah, I agree. It's pretty simple - just don't post anything related in any way to today's event. :)

Did anybody catch the post at Engadget?

Take a look at the picture about "64" bit.

EDIT: Whoops, my bad - it hasn't started yet! I'm an hour out... :p

Nice going Arn!!!

You blew my plans all to hell... I sure hope you can sleep with yourself knowing how you've forever changed my outlook as a man and a mac user!

I wanted to be SURPRISED about the fact that there was a WWDC event and/or the WWDC even would be streamed at a later time/date...

Well life will never be the same again...

/looks for a high bridge, cliff or sizable credenza to jump from...

:D

Sorry but I just had to poke fun at the people who whine about this stuff each and every year... You come to MacRumors for a reason, to read about all sorts of leaked juicy tidbits that find their way out of Cupertino! Then when it comes to actual/factual Apple news being reported LIVE blow by blow you go nuts if you see it mentioned?

People are weird... I mean I can kinda see wanting to see the 'presentation' thats something only Apple truly does well but if that were the case then I would take it upon myself to steer clear of sites where the new might be reported realtime... Like Apple sites, news sites, financial sites, etc etc etc.

Come on boy and girls... Its time to take responsibility for yourself and quit having a hissy when any of the mac sites so what they are expected to do.. You know you don't wanna hear stuff... then DONT visit! :D
