Apple perfects, others rip off. A hard pill to swallow for some, but it's the way things are. When stuff makes it to iOS, it works like it should have worked all along. This is Apple.

Android notifications work perfectly. Which you would know if you've ever used the OS you love to trash so much.

I want nothing to do with twitter.

I sure hope I can delete it, unlike the other built in apps I want nothing to do with.

It's not an app. It's a low level system service now. You're just going to have to get used to the ubiquitousness of all this.

That is utter nonsense. It looks nothing different to the Android notification system. Yes, it may be polished in a different way in the future, but as it stands now, it is identical.

Just give me iOS 5 and Lion. The rest is a wonderful bonus.

Hrm, their list function may be something I'll go from the to-do list I have now (Depending on what basic functions it has).

I like my to do list, it's pretty basic (which I like) but I like the idea of it also reminding me based on location too (plus there is an annoying bug on my to do list that the developer never bothered to fix, if you delete a to do you marked as done before going back to the main screen first it will delete another to-do instead and keep that one).

Anyone remember a couple years ago when people would say "Apple is going to do away with os x and turn it into a giant ios" and other people were like "No your stupid!"

yeah...

So in your eyes, Apple is allowed to infringe IP rights, just because they are Apple? You are so unbelievably deluded, its not even funny. Its just pathetic.

what an absurd statement

Is it me or...

iPhone does not look like iPhone 4 in the demo screens... hmmm

I know I shouldn't be annoyed by this, as its only a phone and an operating system, but what has Apple been doing for the last 12 months?

So far, iOS 5 is essentially features taken from other devices and developers, given an Apple overlay. Notifications are Android, Safari Reader is ReadItLater... ridiculous.

Finally - a dedicated shutter button (OK, shared with Volume up, but anyway ;)
Also, crop and rotate in camera is cool, and the new mail client adds some desperately needed features. Looking like a good upgrade so far...

I like the camera shortcut... now I have a space on the favorites bar to put some other app (camera was on there cause when you want to take a picture a lot of times you need to get to the camera as fast as possible. But it's not necessarily one of my more used apps).
