Start watching late?

Does anyone know if it's just live, or if I get home a bit late if I can start from the beginning? I think last year it was just live or wait for the download?

I know there won't be a MacPro announcement. But I will still watch hoping, praying, there will be.

Why do I torture myself?

You're saving your money for a Mac Pro, so no unnecessary expenses?;)

Me, I'm just happy that our weather is down in the 80's today (it's been near 100). Probably creepy for people to walk in and see me watching the keynote in my underwear...

Either do Apple doesn't want bloggers get visitors or is something very important and they want you to see it very badly. something is very sure... No bloggers for next year.

i guess it will be uploaded n hour or two after the event.

It will be 1 am on my side. Granted, I don't have to work tomorrow, but to sleep or to watch...that is the question...:p

I like the extension onto the :apple:TV. I hope it signals an upcoming shift in adding more content providers to the device.

Some of the choices Apple makes really makes me question their maturity. Why do they only permit Apple devices to stream the keynote?

1) To push further the "exclusivity" of the Apple club?
2) Just to piss of the non- Apple consumers?
3) To make you want to buy an Apple product?
4) Because Jobs was a douche?
5) Because they still refuse to use any other video program than Quicktime, that works best with Apple products?
6) just because for the symbolic meaning of the walled community of the Apple ecosystem?

This and also that they don't allow comments on their Youtube channels, so much for free speech.

Nope

Prepare for server overload Apple. I foresee a crapload of freezing and buffering issues.

If the store goes down they will have store servers to use if they can figure out how to harness their power for other uses

they always say Safari only but Chrome streams it without switching user agents

I don't think it has anything to do with that. I think Apple's servers would be crushed under the load, so it is an artificial way to limit how many people watch it live.

More likely Apple has increased server capacity by adding Prineville, Or and Reno, NV and continuing to buildout more capacity in N. Carolina.

Is it 10 AM in California yet??

6:45 at this moment

Have a soda while you wait. On the house.

Closed Captioned?

Google closed captioned their I/O conference - PLEASE Apple, closed caption your live video stream for us millions of deaf peeps!

P.S., who cares about iRadio, show us some amazing high quality consistent video chats and 100% closed captions on all videos through iTunes!!!

P.S.S., Please open up the FaceTime API as Steve Jobs promised years ago.

If that were true then they wouldn't have invited them in the first place

There's still all those folks on windows for the bloggers to update

I have a class from 1:30 - 3:10 today... Should I watch the first 30 minutes live and then come back afterwards to watch the rest or should I watch the entire thing after class?

Watch after class. The first half hour is usually just review (interesting review, but review); not much meat there. You'll be ripping yourself away just as they get to the good stuff--that's no good.

At first I was bummed (Windows PC at work)...then I thought, "You forgetful fool! You brought your Air to work!" Now I'm happy.

The End.
