how do I watch on my 2009 Mac Pro?

At first I was bummed (Windows PC at work)...then I thought, "You forgetful fool! You brought your Air to work!" Now I'm happy.

The End.

I'll be working with an old Mac Pro in my studio today - and I'd love to watch for an announcement of a new Mac Pro ...

Appropriate --- but is it possible?

What would I need to do to make this happen? I do not have Apple TV.

It's very upsetting they finally have a live stream... When I will be watching the Microsoft E3 conference

Native iOS7 app icons in WWDC logo?

Are the stack of colorful cards on the WWDC logo, actually the native app icons in iOS7?

You need Safari on Snow Leopard or later, just like the article said. ;)

They used those icons back in 2012, so I doubt it.

GMT 6:00pm

It is 17.00 (5pm) in GMT, but GMT is the winter time in the UK (and Ireland and other places), currently Britain is on BST, ie summer time, so the event starts at 18.00 (6pm) BST.

HTH, HAND

If Jony Ive is overseeing iOS, does that mean he'll be a presenter today?

He's only in charge of "Human Interface". That doesn't even necessarily mean graphic design. To me it sounds more like the functionality, than the look.

That said, with everyone hyping him up for so long, i'd be surprised if they didn't try to come up with something a little bit special.

I'm not convinced it will only work on Apple devices. I'm certain a Windows PC with the latest QuickTime will work. But I guess we'll see.

anyone know if the quality will be different when using a iPad 1 on my TV vs my macbook pro on my TV?
Deciding what to hook up onto my lcd.. If the quality is the same I'll just take my ipad 1, less of a hassle

Some of the choices Apple makes really makes me question their maturity. Why do they only permit Apple devices to stream the keynote?

1) To push further the "exclusivity" of the Apple club?
2) Just to piss of the non- Apple consumers?
3) To make you want to buy an Apple product?
4) Because Jobs was a douche?
5) Because they still refuse to use any other video program than Quicktime, that works best with Apple products?
6) just because for the symbolic meaning of the walled community of the Apple ecosystem?

The reason is probably because this is a Developers Conference. The conference itself is only open to registered developers, and this conference sold out in a few minutes therefore they put up a live stream for the other developers. Since the SDK's are only available on Macs that's a really natural decision to make this stream Apple only. It's just a bonus that all of us who ain't registered developers also get to take a look at this stream.

I don't normally watch the Keynotes and other streams - but I'm pretty pumped for a refresh to iOS. But why is everyone doing their streams today? I also wanted to watch the Microsoft E3 conference stream (9AM PST), haha. Argh. At least Sony's is at 6PM tonight.

I'll be up at 3am in Australia to watch this live. Without coffee, tea, energy drinks or coke (as I can't drink them). Pulling this on water and excitement.

I feel your pain!

Also, very likely that Jony will take to the stage today. Tim's style seems to be to let the VP for Whatever show off their product, unlike Jobs who did most of the keynote himself [with fewer exceptions]
