My WWDC predictions based on years of experience and deep insider information:

* Public release of iOS12 with dark mode and Alexa integration
* New MacPro, shipping immediately
* iMac Pro price drop to $1199
* Apple TV 5th gen with support for 3D streaming content
* Apple Glasses
* preorders for iPhone X+
* one more thing: MacMini Air

I think it’s going to be one of the most exciting WWDC events ever.

Very odd that they're not hosting it at Apple Park.
It’s a campus, not a conference facility.

For people who are asking why its not Steve Jobs Theater. Thats because WWDC is not just one 2 hours keynote. The keynote is just the start of the event. There is a need to accommodate thousands of Developers across multiple parallel events for 5 days. That would disrupt regular work at Apple Park and I doubt that there are multiple event venues available inside Apple Park.
Make sure to sign up for the animoji workshops. Tickets are limited.
More Animojis!
Make sure you sign up for the animoji workshops early because seating is limited.

You must be smoking the good stuff with those “predictions”

I think everyone can agree that the trash can Mac Pro reveal at 2013 WWDC was both exciting & a bit of a jaw dropper (regardless of the fact that the machine was doomed). That was the last time I was glad I watched the Keynote. Watching Phil's excitement was fun. But Apple can't (and won't) pull a rabbit out of a hat at every keynote- so we just have to be patient and hope that every so often they might.

Nothing to prove. Keep buying your Apple goodies
man that confuses me. You saying it's not worth convincing him, that he should just keep on buying? Or something else?

This is rather amusing. Cupertino is really not far at all from San Francisco. And helping software developers at WWDC *is* work.
I also laughed at that line.

Totally not true, for the small/beginning devs the Labs are an awesome place to get help and ideas and learn the best way to do things.

Maybe for very very small developers like one man operations they might be. There's a reason you don't see much from developers outside that small niche. WWDC hasn't been worth attending in 15 years.

SE 2 with the mirrored edges making a return please please
SE 2? You mean the SE/30? It didn't have mirrored edges. I'm pretty sure we don't need another 9" screen CRT Mac desktop. But hey, a Mac mini with a slot would be a great idea!

Then what about the ""grand Steve jobs theatre"" they built at the apple shace-ship campus??

In addition to WWDC, a variety of other developer events should take place throughout the same week in San Jose, such as AltConf and Layers.
Apparently, turnout at both Layers and AltConf last year was rather poor, compared to their previous incarnations in San Francisco. A third event, CocoaConf Next Door, also had very poor attendance and with the closure of the entire CocoaConf tour, obviously won’t be back.

Marzipan is the project to have iOS apps run on macOS - and yes, it will most likely be shown off at WWDC

Ok, now sure why they would do that tho personally I really hope they are not doing a touch screen hybrid laptop! The surface is a terrible device and Apple don’t need to copy it.

Not a touchscreen app - it's just an API for building apps that will work natively on both platforms. Like UWP for windows but hopefully not terrible.

Oh ok that's cool, i was getting worried there that they may do a hybrid device. The one app i wish they would bring to the iPad Pro is Final Cut Pro X, it would be brilliant to be able to edit on the go with it and then finish an edit back home on the iMac.

That's the dream. Hopefully, with Marzipan, Apple (and third parties) will be able to make great cross-platform apps.

I wonder if they will announce any apps during the announcement of Marzipan? like Final Cut Pro for iPad Pro, something they can demo for example. That would be interesting to watch.

Invites anytime from now?

I don't think so, i would say much nearer the time maybe the end of April at a guess.
